Don't just use this as a way to up your post count, try to have an actual review for each fight that you watch and if it's worth for somebody else to check out as well.

Brock Lesnar Vs Frank Mir @ UFC 81

Brock's first fight in the UFC, Lesnar came out in the fight strong had a take down within 5 seconds and hit Mir with some nasty shots but Frank Mir caught him in a knee bar and Brock like any other person in one of Mir's submission holds pretty much had no choice but to tap out fight ended in round one. It was an alright fight for what it was, and because it was Brock's debut in the UFC i would consider it memorable as he turned out to be one of the biggest UFC stars in the history of the company.

Clay Guida vs Tyson Griffin @ UFC 72
Watched this on recomendation by Cork and it didn't dissapoint at all. Crazy paced as expected from both guys and there were some amazing transitions throughout. Tyson was put in some awkward positions by Guida when trying to take him down, but his wrestling defense was awesome given the position his legs were in and was even connecting with shots too. Some of the positions they ended up on the ground were bizarre and they were still throwing all sorts of sorts of punches. I was quite surprised at the result and I personally had it 2-1 Guida. Great fight though.

Clay Guida vs Nate Diaz @ UFC 94
Watched purely based on the two guys were fighting because of their styles and that you'll pretty much always get a show from both guys. Was expecting a war but that never occured and it seemed to be dominated by the clinch and Guida getting the takedowns while getting Nate's back numerous times without ever threatening to finish the fight. Nate obviously had the advantage on the feet throughout the fight, but again never get anything substantial in that looked as though Clay was in trouble other than the start of the 3rd which was probably his best bit of action on the feet. No surprise to see Clay end up the win and if i'm being honest, given that this fight was 3 years ago and both guys have upped their game since then, I wouldn't mind seeing a second bout at all.

Nick Diaz vs. Paul Daley

Probably the best single round fight you'll ever see, and one of the reasons I love Nick Diaz. The guy is one of the best jiu-jitsu guys around yet leaves that skill to stand and trade punches instead.

The finish was a bit weird, as it didn't even look like Diaz' punch landed, but Daley fell into a heap anyway.

Fedor vs. Bigfoot Silva

First round was rather competitive. Almost even. They had a bunch of shots that connected but of course Bigfoot had the reach advantage so he had a few more shots connect. Fedor did have a guillotine in and had it rather decently in but just not good enough. But this was a good first round. Looked like it could be a pretty good fight.

Second round was when everything changed and Bigfoot just straight dominated. Took him down 2 seconds into the round and just mannnn he just mauled him. Had him in an arm choke at one point but it wasn't locked in too well so Fedor was in trouble but was able to get himself out of there. Then later on he caught him in a kneebar but Fedor's knee was too low so it hurt but it wasn't in too good. But Fedor was able to reverse it into a Sambo heel hook and it didn't phase Bigfoot at all and I was just like wow.

But yeah Fedor's eye was completely swollen shut. He would have literally been fighting with one eye open for the final round but he was ready and wanting to fight but it had to be stopped. That was quite an interesting fight.

Clay Guida vs. Roger Huerta @ Ultimate Fighter Finale Season 6
First round was pretty close, but i'd say went to Guida. Huerta was getting the better of the stand up exchanges but Clay ended up getting several takedowns and was going for a rear naked in the last minute of the round but Huerta fought out and ended up ontop before taking Guida's back and looking for a kimura. Guida ended up back ontop with 10 seconds or so to go of the round and got some nice knees to body in. There was also a stage midway through the round where Huerta managed to land a good knee on Guida against the cage, who then returned one back but was deemed illegal due to Huerta being down on one knee.

Round 2 starts with a 10 second standing and banging trade punches before Clay once again shoots for takedown and suceeds. A nice spot where Guida has Huerta in position for a knee, but Huerta stays on one knee to avoiding eating one, before catching Guida with an uppercut and slipping out. More success for Guida in taking Huerta down but not much comes from it and they end up back on their feet where Huerta eats a few jabs before seemingly getting rocked by Guida and wrestled to the ground up against the cage. Guida trys to take his back but they both end up back on their feet and start to throwdown. Huerta lands some good shots and drops down for a takedown against Guida who is up against the fence but gets hit with a big uppercut as he's on his knees and gets rocked with Clay swarming ontop of him for the final 60 seconds but isn't able to put him away.

Crazy start again to Round 3 as the throwdown with Huerta hitting a strong body kick and what looks like a knee to rock Guida who then eats punches up against the cage. Guida shoots for the takedown but it's very slow due to his condition and Huerta ends up taking his back and submitting him with a rear naked choke.

Great fight.

Diego Sanchez vs. Jake Ellenberger - UFC of Fuel TV

Excellent fight that just finished before. Three round fight on the mainevent of the first UFC event on Fuel. Ellenberger started the fight fast and had a great first round, landed some big shots and cut Sanchez on the nose. Second round was similar to the first, Ellenberger in complete control with big shots and a couple of takedowns. So close to finishing Sanchez but the bell saved him. Third round Ellenberger comes out looking to finish but Sanchez also knows that he has to finish if he is to win the fight. Ellenberger has control early but then Sanchez takes over. Has his back and is laying in some big shots to the face, tries for a submission but can't get anything locked in. Continues to ground and pound but in the dying seconds of the round Ellenberger manages to escape. Great fight and Ellenberger rightly wins 29-28.

Brendan Schaub Vs Gabriel Gonzaga @ UFC 121

This fight was a huge step up for Schaub in terms of competition the first round was pretty much a feeling out process. Towards the middle and end of the first round Brendan started connecting punches and had Gonzaga covering up unfortunately the bell saved Gonzaga in the first round in the second and third rounds things got pretty exciting both guys hitting some pretty impressive shots on each other Schaub would eventually win the fight by unanimous decision and send Gabriel Gonzaga packing from the UFC. The Hybrid was too much for Schaub and after this fight he instantly became one of my favorite heavyweights in the UFC.

Wanderlei Silva vs Chuck Liddell @ UFC 79
Very cagey start and took a while for the fight to get going where in the middle period of the round Wandy seemed to bait in Chuck after making out he was more hurt from his punch than he actually was. Lots of back and forth exchanges from there on in

Round 2 for the first 4 minutes definitley went to Wandy as he was aggressor, landing more shots and even dropped Chuck once. An insane last minute to the round when Wandy managed to get the clinch but got split open good by Chuck. Wild exchanges against the fence with both guys connecting as the round comes to an end.

Round 3 starts with Chuck taking down Wandy but he immediately pops straight back up.Beautiful spinning back fist rocks Wandy as he retreats against the cage and Chuck tees off on him but doesn't manage to put him away. A quiet minute and half or so as the fight comes towards the end with Chuck scoring a take down with 15 seconds of the round remaining.Great fight, although I was slightly surprised two judges gave it 30-27.

Chuck Lidell Vs Rashad Evans @ UFC 88

Pretty good fight here, i remember i was a Chuck Lidell mark back at this time and i didn't and still don't like Evans so i wanted nothing more than Chuck to KO him. Unfortunately, it went the other way around. The first round seen both guys hitting a few shots on each other, but typical stuff you would see in a first round although Rashad did a ton of dancing around and just circling Chuck, this was clearly frustrating Lidell towards the end of the first round. The beginning of the second round started off pretty good but Chuck got caught with a nasty over hand punch and Rashad ended up with the KO victory.

Great fight if you enjoy a sick knockout.

Carlos Condit Vs Dan Hardy @ UFC 120

Not really a fan of either one of these guys but especially Hardy, ironically though i was really looking forward to this fight when it was going down both guys basically have the same fighting style. This fight was in England so the crowd was solidly behind Hardy. The first round seen a good exchange of leg kicks and uppercuts from both guys, this ended up being a quick fight not getting past the first round and seen Condit getting a pretty good KO victory in the end.

Honestly, this fight proved to me how overrated Dan Hardy was.

The guy was being billed as some murderous KO puncher, when he only had 1 KO in the UFC against some bum (Rory Markham IIRC?). Him and Condit landed the punch at the same time, Condit barely even flinched, yet Hardy was on his back begging to be finished. Even before that, he was getting outstruck.

Rashad Evans Vs Lyoto Machida @ UFC 98

This fight was the first fight in UFC history where two undefeated fighters fought for a title, I really started to enjoy Machida's craft after this fight. The first round in this fight was alright, seen Machida throw a few high head kicks but it wasn't until the final minute of the round where Machida got a hold of Rashad and got a few good shots in, Lyoto clearly won the first round although it wouldn't matter because the fight wouldn't get past the second round anyways. At the start of the second round Machida came out aggressive and tried for a few take downs they were unsuccessful so the fight went back to a standing battle, towards the middle of the second round Rashad got caught with a nasty upper cut and Lyoto jumped all over it and went in for the kill and he knocked Rashad the fuck out, thus becoming the new light-heavy weight champion.

Nate Marquardt Vs Chael Sonnen @ UFC 109

I marked for this fight, Nate & Chael are both two of my favorite fighters in MMA. Pretty good first round, Chael got caught in a guillotine early in the first round but was able to defend against it and land some elbows to Nate and the rest of the first round was all Sonnen.

The second round started with a quick take down by Chael, and pretty much suffocated Nate the first few minutes of the round. Half way through the second round Nate hit Chael with a nasty elbow and it completely busted Sonnen open at the top of the eye. Chael worked right through it and pretty much kept control of Nate the last 90 seconds of the round.

In the third round, it started out identical to the first and second round, Chael came in and took him down to the ground straight away. This was the first fight i really seen Nate get completely dominated in a fight, Sonnen's wrestling was able to control and dictate the entire fight. With about a minute left in the fight Nate caught Sonnen in another guillotine choke and some how Chael got out of it, and that was pretty much the last shot Nate had to win this fight.

This was one hell of a fight, highly recommended, great wrestling awesome striking from both fighters, really exciting fight.

Chael Sonnen wins Via unanimous decision 30-27

Ben Henderson Vs Jamie Varner @ WEC 46

Ben Henderson was on the rise to the top of the lightweight division in WEC he came into this fight as interim champion Varner who is also lightweight champion was sidelined for almost a year with a broken hand and returned at this fight to unify the two titles. Coming into this fight Bendo had been training with BJ Penn, and like i said earlier it was Varner's first fight in almost a year.

The first round, seen Varner coming in right away and taking down Ben, he went for a knee bar but was unsuccessful. From this point Varner hit a few knees and out wrestled Bendo, ref Herb Dean stood both fighters and Varner ate a nasty kick to the face, and that was basically the round, Varner wins this round still though.

In the second round, Bendo started snapping kicks and knees off more and more and was clearly frustrating Jamie with how well composed he was, Varner in this fight was controlling the pace of the fight so far to this point i thought Henderson took this round, but it honestly could've went either way.

The third of five rounds ended up being the final round of the fight, it ended up being a really quick third round also. At 2:23 of the round Bendo caught Varner in a standing guillotine choke and Varner had no choice but to tap out.

Winner and undisputed WEC lightweight champion, Ben Henderson
