I would chalk this up to WWE putting out a few fires before it gets too uncontrollable.

Riley getting airtime is more of pushing the Ziggler/Jericho feud than anything about Riley. Jericho was practically burying Riley on commentary.

JTG getting squashed by Ryback is more of the slow burn Goldberg push I was lobbying for a few months ago.

People reading a little too much into JTG appearing on Raw. He was there to get buried. Cole saying something along the lines of "I wonder what JTG will tweet about this" pretty much confirmed it.

Oh, I knew he was there to get buried. I just found it funny that WWE did it.

Actually wasn't expecting WWE to give JTG any air time, but the instant AJ said he'd have a surprise opponent, you just knew! Was half expecting Kane to be honest.

I'm not really sure whether to look at that negatively. It's not like the guy got much TV time on RAW since the Cryme Tyme tag team broke up. He was certainly squashed, but still got on TV where he wasn't at all before that. Maybe it's some sort of weird PR on their part in some form, to try claiming everyone gets a chance on the new 3 hour show. Maybe it's some sort of rib on the guy before they get rid of him.

But they could have just as easily kept him off TV and off the road entirely. They could have pretended he doesn't exist anymore, even future endeavored him.

There was some story about him being the guy that raised issues with the overseas payoffs being a bit light. I don't know how they see that sort of thing there. Twitter sounds like an unprofessional way of doing it, but it still takes balls to say something. How many times do guys in the industry just keep it to themselves when they see they think their checks are way too light? Is he seen as someone Vince can respect for not being a yes-man, or as impossible to do business with as the Ultimate Warrior was pegged?

I find it quite humourous that WWE used him for the Ryback squash. That way they can say they actually used him on television but still completely buried him in the same process. JTG still shouldn't have done what he did, complain to creative rather than the public, that kind of stuff should be kept in house. Wouldn't surprise me if he is released in the next round of releases.
