Cena's been working with bulging discs in his back for two years, not to mention all the nagging injuries he's been working through since 09. This guy is Kurt Angle'ing it, he won't leave when he has a title and noone who can take his place.

WWE doesn't have anyone on the level of John Cena, Orton isn't a franchise player, Sheamus isn't there, Del Rio not even close, CM Punk no fucking way. So people thinking it would be great that he takes time off, really don't understand shit. Sponsors want him on the show, USA wants him on the shows.

Outside of the people who hate Cena to no end the suggestion of him taking time off is so he doesn't fuck himself up long term. Instead of having him out a month or 2 to heal he could end up being out a year and then they'll really have a problem on their hands. Obviously they are going to ride him since the roster is thin but if he and WWE aren't careful they could run their biggest star into the ground and be left in horrible predicament for a long time if these nagging injuries turn into sidelining ones.

In the immortal words of my bestest friend Mick Donalds... Less Wigger Jorts is a triumph in itself!

On a serious note, it's obviously a work, if it's that bad, they should take the strap off him. No more of this fighting through the pain shit.

Still to early to call if its a work or not. I highly doubt they would start a work on a random house show in Europe. Makes no sense. If they do strip the title, it would be on Raw anyways. Would be Blue to do it on a Sunday where they can't get anything out of it.

In the least, there is truth behind this. It may not be serious, but could very well become serious if he keeps up his full time schedule. And with an sure to be stipulation match coming up against Ryback, the chances for a sideline injury are high.

Cena would work with a severed leg. He no-sold a broken neck after 3 months. He isn't going to take time off.

I would book him off until Summerslam. Gives you sufficient time to make Ryback your top monster heel champ. Cena makes his comeback against an even hotter heel.

That would be if Cena has to relinquish the title on Raw....Team Brickie announce a tournament going into Extreme Rules and Ryback destroys his way into the finals against someone like Orton. Ryback gets a good rub, he keeps the title until Summerslam, and then Cena comes back looking for revenge. Basic booking.

He probably stubbed his tow but WWE are calling it a tear so that he can seem even more super human and overcome the odds (again) and beat Ryback...sigh feels like I've seen this Cena overcoming the odds thing before...

It is hilarious though that still all these years later when WWE is facing the prospect of having Cena on the sidelines they still dont have anyone who can truly fill in him for him. They've done an atrocious job of building up any new real stars because eventually everyone just gets fed to Cena or Sheamus.

Oh ffs people, it's a story being run on WWE.com. Are you people new to this IWC thing? It's a total work.

In fact I bet this gets mentioned on Raw tonight and immediately becomes a story line. Whether or not Cena has a legit injury isn't even what I'm questioning, but I highly doubt it's something that just started on that European tour.

Seriously, LOOK at the article. WWE.com: WWE Champion John Cena injured during WWE European tour

It even blatantly poses the question "Does this put Ryback one step closer to capturing the WWE title?", not even beating around the bush, just fucking hitting you in the face with it and flat out saying "WE ARE GOING TO WORK THIS INTO AN ANGLE!"

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus.

- Several sources report that John Cena's injury is just a deeply bruised heel, not an Achilles tear as WWE first reported last week. Word is that Cena will continue to work through the injury.

Wasn't Edge out for 6+ months with an Achilles injury?
