Explosion Review

Tag Match- Very good match. Lots of action, but I couldn't help, but feel that this was just a WGTT squash match.

Bishoff promo- X cage sounds like a good match.

Lethal vs. Sabin- Good match. Fast paced and high flying.

Jericho promo- I liked the promo, but there was one thing that I didn't like about it. It was hard to tell if he was heel or face which wouldn't be good for a new reader.

Women's match- Shorter than your usual matches, but it was still pretty good.

Bishoff and friends promo- This promo wouldn't have been as good if Santino wasn't in it.

Otron promo- Intense promo.

AJ vs. Christian- This could have easily been a main event match.

Angle promo- No offence, but this promo used ever Angle catch phrase that there is. lol

Main Event- Awesome match. Not much more to say but that.

AC: A great show. Set up for the PPV very nicely. I'll be reading the PPV for sure.

Best Match: Tough call here. I liked both Christian vs. Styles and Angle vs. Michaels. Both matches were well-written but I felt like Christian/Styles could've had a better closing moment and Abyss backing away from a chair was somewhat unrealistic of his character. Angle/Michaels was nothing short of a great match. It was a near-classic IMO because they both so easy to write for and they blend so well against one another. The chemistry is great but I thought Angle should've won so he looked stronger going into his match against Jericho this Sunday at No Way Out.

Worst Match: Katie Lea vs. Mickie James- This was a short and sweet women's match but it was still the worst match on the show this week.

Best Interview/Segment: The backstage segment featuring Bischoff, Regal, D'Lo, Santino and Carlito was great. I thought it was entertaining and pretty funny, too.

Worst Interview/Segment: Chris Jericho Interview- This wasn't a bad interview, it just seemed tough to see whether he was a heel or face in the feud with Angle. He came off more of a heel than a face in the interview at most points.

Additional Feedback/Comments: No Way Out looks to be a great pay-per-view and I'm anxious to read it. I like the concept of the X-Cage match and entire card has potential to have some great matches. I'm really looking forward to Orton/Michaels and Jericho/Angle. Keep up the good work and I'll be checking out No Way Out.

BM: Angle versus Christian IMO. Great match, I am enjoying your matches more and more each time I read your shows. This was nicely paced, lowed down at certain times, faster at others, and the action was top notch. Some parts of the match were patchy but in all great work. Liked the ending.

WM: N/A

BP: Bischoff and co. Promo was my favourite. Funny and exciting. Quite a few golden lines in this promo that put a smile on my face and it was all round a great segment.

WP: Most promos were good this week but the weakest IMO was was the Angle interview. I don't know what it was, it just seemed jagged and not right. Angle seemed stale and bland.

Sorry about the shitty Review this week, not alot of time on my hands recently.

Best match: Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle, this was an awesome match. HBK and Kurt Angle had lots of chemistry here, the intensity was certainly there as well. Great job

Worst match: I guess I'll go with Katie Lea vs Mickie James, but NOT just because it was a womens match. It just didn't really amount to anything imo, it was a good way to put Mickie over though.

Best angle: Everyone in Bischoff's office asking for a Title shot. This was one of the best segments that I've read from you. Santino made me  and everyone else was definitely in character.

Worst Angle: I'll go with the Kurt Angle promo simply because it wasn't as good as all your other promos (hence why its in the "worst" category) and I think the whole "I'm winning the Title for sure!" is getting a little repetitive. It wasn't all that bad, but it felt kind of dull compared to everything else.

Line of the night:
I am better then-ah the afro man, I am better then-ah the stupid English-ah man and I am MUCH better then-ah the D’Lo of Brown!

Additional Thoughts: Great show Lennie, I have to admit, you've improved greatly since the last show that I read. Your promos were actually pretty good, of course there is always room to improve but at least you are on the right track now. HBK vs Kurt Angle was a phenomenal way to end the show, definitely an awesome match there. I also am looking forward to the "X Cage" match, it seems pretty cool and its definitely something I would like to see in real life. I hope you do good things with it, I'm sure the match will be amazing.

Overall rating: 8.0

Styles: Good evening everybody and welcome to a sold out No Way Out, I am joined here tonight by Mike Adamle and what a night it shall be!

Adamle: That’s right Joey; let’s give them a quick run down of what is on tonight’s show. Tonight we have all four titles on the line in what should be some great, brutal matches. We also have other grudge matches!

Styles: Yeah, tonight, the heart break kid Shawn Micheals goes one on one with Randy Orton! Also, Mr Kennedy takes on Christian Cage in what should be a good match!

Adamle: Definitely but the match that all the fans have come to see is the World Heavyweight Championship match where Y2J Chris Jericho defends against the Olympic gold medallist, Kurt Angle!

Styles: Yes, tonight’s show will be great and lets kick start it with the Television title match!

William Regal’s theme hits as he walks down to the ring with boos from the entire crowd followed by Carlito who gets huge cheers from the crowd. Matt Strikers theme hits as he walks down to the ring while the crowd go crazy with boos until D-Lo Brown’s theme hits and he makes his way to the ring with a huge pop from the crowd!

Television title match
William Regal Vs Carlito Vs Matt Striker Vs D-Lo Brown

All men stare at one another from different corners of the ring, William Regal and D-Lo Brown then turn to one another and begin to hammer away with rights and lefts while Carlito and Matt Striker do the exact same thing. They all go at it, William Regal begins to build momentum as he fires away with some huge lefts and rights on Brown who backs down into the corner, meanwhile in the middle of the ring Matt Striker and Carlito continue to go at it. William Regal holds D-Lo in the corner and punches him a couple of times, D-Lo then gets out and pushes Regal into the turnbuckle and lays into him with a few hard rights. Carlito punches Matt Striker in the face causing him to stumble backwards into the ropes, Carlito then runs at him for a clothesline which Striker ducks and pulls the ropes down leaving Carlito to fall right over the top rope to the ground outside the ring. Carlito lies on the ground outside of the ring in pain as Matt Striker walks across the ring to D-Lo Brown and punches him in the back a couple of times, William Regal gets out of the corner and begins to help Matt Striker hammer away at him with hard rights and lefts. D-Lo Brown stumbles backwards as Striker and Regal continue to punch him, Striker and Regal both grab a hold of D-Lo Brown and hit him with a quick hard double snap suplex followed by a quick pin by Matt Striker, 1…and William Regal quickly pulls Striker off. William Regal punches Striker in the head a couple of times, he then Irish whips him into the ropes and once Striker comes running back he is dropped by a hard clothesline by Regal. Carlito slowly begins to get back up on the outside while in the ring Matt Striker slowly gets back up as does D-Lo Brown, Regal runs at D-Lo for a pin but D-Lo ducks and Regal drops Striker with a hard clothesline, William Regal then turns around only to be dropped by a clothesline by Brown.

Matt Striker as well as William Regal slowly begin to get back up to their feet, they both walk over and give D-Lo Brown a knee to the gut each, Brown bends down and holds his stomach in pain. William Regal hammers away at the face of D-Lo as Matt Striker runs and bounces off the ropes but as he hits the ropes Carlito grabs him by the foot causing Striker to fall down hard onto the mat. Carlito pulls Matt Striker out of the ring and Irish whips him into the steel barricade, Striker drops to the ground in pain as Carlito rolls back into the ring. William Regal and D-Lo Brown continue to trade punches with one another in the ring, Carlito runs at them both and goes for a double clothesline but only hits Brown and he is knocked over the top rope down to the ground outside the ring. Both Matt Striker as well as D-Lo Brown lie on the ground outside the ring in pain, meanwhile in the ring Carlito starts to build momentum by punching Regal in the face a couple of times, he then knees Regal in the mid section before going for an Irish whip. William Regal counters the Irish whip with one of his own sending Carlito into the ropes; Carlito comes running back towards Regal. William Regal throws his right arm out at Carlito but Carlito is able to duck as he continues to run and bounce off the ropes, Carlito runs back as Regal turns around and Carlito hits him with a hard shoulder block causing Regal to stumble backwards. Carlito runs right at the ropes, he attempts another shoulder block but this time William Regal counters and hits him with a hard arm drag, Carlito gets right back up and this time runs into a few lefts hands by Regal followed up by a clothesline which takes Carlito off his feet. William Regal goes for a quick pin, 1…and Carlito gets the shoulder up quickly.

Matt Striker and D-Lo Brown both quickly roll back into the ring as Carlito rolls over to the side holding his back in pain; Matt Striker clips the back of William Regal’s legs as D-Lo Brown hits him up high with a hard clothesline which knocks Regal off his feet. William Regal slowly gets back up; D-Lo Brown punches him a couple of times before hitting him with a hard scoop slam. William Regal lies on the mat holding his back in pain, Matt Striker runs over and begins to stomp away on the face of William Regal, he then turns around into a right arm by Brown which causes Striker to stumble backwards. D-Lo then begins to run at Matt Striker only for Striker to jump up and drop him with a hard dropkick to the face followed by a quick pin, 1…2…and Regal dives onto Striker to break it up. Matt Striker slowly rolls over to the ropes as William Regal drops his knee down across the face off D-Lo Brown, Brown holds his face in pain as Matt Striker gets back up to his feet. William Regal gets up as Matt Striker runs and begins to hammer away at his back from behind with numerous punches, Regal quickly turns around and swings at Striker but Striker ducks and once Regal again turns around he is dropped with a hard swinging neck breaker followed by a quick pin, 1…2…and Regal gets the shoulder up. William Regal slowly roll out of the ring, Matt Striker walks over to D-Lo Brown who is back up to one knee, he kicks D-Lo in the side of the head which drops him back down onto his stomach. D-Lo Brown again slowly begins to get back up, Striker walks over and pulls him up only for Brown to give him a hard punch to the mid section, Striker slowly stumbles backwards. Matt Striker then runs at D-Lo but D-Lo Brown hits him with a back body drop, Striker lands down hard on his back as he shouts in pain followed by a quick pin by Brown, 1…2…and Carlito dives over to break it up.

Matt Striker slowly rolls over to the corner of the ring in pain; Carlito gets up and picks D-Lo Brown up with him. They both begin to trade punches with one another, D-Lo gets the better of it as he starts to build momentum and hammer away at Carlito. Carlito stumbles backwards into the ropes, D-Lo Brown grabs him and Irish whips him into the ropes and when Carlito runs back he is dropped by a huge dropkick by D-Lo which drops Carlito to the mat instantly. Carlito slowly begins to get back up to his feet, he sits up holding his head and back in pain and all of a sudden D-Lo comes flying over and he nails Carlito with Sudden Impact which knocks Carlito backwards right away! D-Lo goes for a pin, 1…2…and Matt Striker dives over and breaks it up just in time. Carlito rolls out of the ring very slowly holding his head in a lot of pain as Matt Striker and D-Lo Brown get up, Matt Striker slaps D-Lo in the face and D-Lo Brown gets angry. Matt Striker quickly runs and slides out of the ring, Striker runs past the turnbuckle post where Regal is hiding, D-Lo follows Striker around the corner only to be kneed in the mid section by Regal, William Regal then Irish whips him into the steel steps. Both Carlito and William Regal lie on the ground outside the ring in pain as Matt Striker quickly slides into the ring, William Regal follows him back into the ring. Matt Striker quickly kicks William Regal in the mid section before setting him up with the Golden Rule but Regal quickly gets out of that by pushing Striker backwards, Striker bounces off the ropes and stumbles back towards Regal who grabs Matt Striker and nails him with a huge Exploder suplex, Regal then crawls over to Striker for a pin, 1…2…and Striker kicks out just in time.

Carlito slides back into the ring as William Regal as well as Matt Striker begin to get up in pain, Striker stumbles into the middle of the ring where he is hit with a hard hurricanrana by Carlito. Matt Striker lies in the corner of the ring in a lot of pain as Carlito runs and springboards off the ropes and drops William Regal with a huge springboard back elbow, Carlito then goes for a quick pin, 1…2…and Regal kicks out! Carlito gets up hyped, he picks William Regal up but Regal jabs him in the eye. Carlito turns around away from William Regal and holds his eye which he can barely see out of, William Regal fully gets back up and slowly limps his way over to Carlito, Regal grabs Carlito and nails him with a huge German suplex with a bridge pin, 1…2…and D-Lo Brown comes flying off the top rope and he lands down on William Regal’s mid section with a huge Lo Down! William Regal slowly rolls to the side of the ring holding his stomach in pain as D-Lo gets back up to his feet all pumped up. D-Lo Brown turns around into a kick to the gut followed by the Golden Rule by Matt Striker, D-Lo Brown lies on the mat motionless as Matt Striker slowly gets up and looks for the ref to make the count not realizing that Carlito is back up, Carlito jumps up and nails Matt Striker with the Back Stabber, he drops down onto Striker for the pin in pain, 1…2…and 3!

Here is your winner, and new IPW Television Champion, Carlito!

Styles: Wow, what a great match that was. I was expecting it to be a highly competitive match and that’s exactly what it was, I am glad Carlito won because he deserved to.

Adamle: What a great way to kick off No Way Out, with the Television title match which had a lot of great action in it. Matt Striker could have had the win there but Carlito struggled his way back up to his feet and hit him with the Back Cracker!

Styles: I am sure Matt Striker, William Regal and D-Lo Brown will all be disappointed after this match but they shouldn’t be because they all tried there best but Carlito was able to come through on the night.

The camera then goes backstage to the World Heavyweight Champion, Chris Jericho with JB!

JB: Well Chris, tonight is the night you go one on one with Kurt Angle but that’s not all, your World Heavyweight title is on the line. What are your current thoughts?

Jericho: Borash, Kurt Angle thinks he is better then me, hell, Kurt thinks he is better then any other wrestler alive today but the one thing that makes me know for sure that he isn’t the best there is, is because I am the World Heavyweight Champion. I am the first ever IPW Champion and I will be the only man to have held this belt for a very long time. Tonight I defend my World title for the very first time, now like most people I was going into this match a little worried but I realized I have no need to be worried. I won this title by beating Kurt Angle the first time and this time it’s just me and him which should make this match quicker then it was the first time around. JB, I can assure you that tonight Y2J, Chris Jericho will leave, still, the IPW World Heavyweight Champion!

JB: Okay, so do you have any game plan going into this match Chris, how do you think you will be able to get the win tonight?

I wouldn’t really call it a game plan but more of a match style. Tonight in my match all I really need to do is hit Kurt with a couple of quick moves to gain the advantage. The main thing I will be focussing on during this match will be keeping my ankle away from Kurt Angle dirty little hands; I don’t want to be getting myself into the Angle lock.

JB: Alright, now do you have any last words?

Jericho: Yes I do. Y2J, Chris Jericho, the Iatolla of Rock ’n’ Rolla would just like to say to that tonight Kurt, when I lock you in the Walls of Jericho you better tap out as soon as you get the chance because there is no escaping the walls! Now JB I will talk to you later once I am done retaining my World title.

JB: Ahhh yeah Okay, thanks for your time Champ.

Styles: Chris Jericho seems to be really pumped up for his match tonight where he takes on Kurt Angle in our main event.

Adamle: He is very pumped up by the sounds of things Joey, and I really can’t wait for the World title match later this evening!

Styles: Me either but in the meantime lets see what else we have in store for this evening…

Joey Styles gets cut out by the theme music of Christian Cage as he walks down to the ring, Mr Kennedy’s theme then follows as he begins to walks down to the ring.

6h8lb3e2u1hwhkifd0kt.jpg

Both men look at one another with a look of hate on their faces, they both slowly circle thing ring before minding up in the middle of the ring. They both struggle to gain the advantage until Christian Cage ends it with a kick to the mid section of Mr Kennedy; he then locks Kennedy into a side headlock which he holds in tightly. Mr Kennedy tries to get out of it but Christian just locks it in tighter and applies more pressure to the head of Kennedy, Mr Kennedy slowly stumbles backwards into the ropes, he then pushes Cage off who goes running off into the ropes, Christian runs back only to be dropped by a stuff shoulder block by Kennedy. Christian Cage quickly gets right back up and begins to trade punches with Mr Kennedy, they go punch for punch until Mr Kennedy starts to build momentum with numerous punches to the face of Cage. Christian Cage slowly stumbles back into the turnbuckle, Mr Kennedy climbs up onto the second rope and begins to hammer away at the head of Mr Kennedy as the crowd begins to cheer, Kennedy jumps down from off the ropes leaving Cage falling out from the corner onto the mat. Mr Kennedy goes for a quick pin on Christian Cage, 1…and Cage lifts his boot up onto the bottom rope. Mr Kennedy gets back up, he runs at the ropes as Christian slowly sits up, Kennedy gets back and kicks him in the chest which knocks him backwards onto his back. Mr Kennedy gets up, he pulls Christian Cage up with him and punches him a couple of times, Christian then drops Mr Kennedy with a surprise clothesline. Mr Kennedy quickly gets right back up, he runs at Mr Kennedy only to be kneed in the mid section followed by a quick snap suplex by Kennedy. Christian lies on the mat holding his back in pain as Mr Kennedy drops down onto him for a pin, 1…2…and Cage gets a quick kick out at 2.

Mr Kennedy gets up knowing he is in control of the match, Christian Cage gets back up to his feet, Kennedy gives him a hard right hand to the face which is returned by Cage, Christian then kicks him in the mid section before sending Kennedy off into the rope with an Irish whip. Mr Kennedy hits the ropes and holds on to them stopping him from running back, Christian Cage then runs at Kennedy and goes for a clothesline but Kennedy ducks and tosses Christian over to the top rope only for him to land down safely on the apron. Mr Kennedy turns around and goes for a quick right hand on Christian Cage but Christian blocks it and punches Kennedy in the head, Cage then shoulders him in the mid section through the ropes causing Kennedy to stumble back holding his stomach in pain. Christian gets right back into the ring, he runs and drops Mr Kennedy with a hard shoulder block followed by a pin, 1…and Kennedy makes sure he kicks out early. Christian Cage gets up and starts going crazy with stomps on the head and chest of Mr Kennedy, he bends down and picks Kennedy up and punches him a couple of times. Christian Cage back Kennedy down into the corner, he slaps Mr Kennedy across the face before Irish whipping him into the turnbuckle corner across the ring. Mr Kennedy hits the turnbuckle hard and begins to hold his back and Christian Cage runs and sandwiches Kennedy into the corner, Christian Cage backs out slowly as Mr Kennedy drops down to the mat, Cage goes for the cover, 1…2…and Mr Kennedy is able to get the shoulder up. Mr Kennedy slowly gets back up to his feet slightly holding his back in pain, he turns around right into a hard dropkick by Christian Cage who again drops down onto Kennedy for another pin, 1…2…and again Mr Kennedy is able to get the shoulder up.

Christian Cage gets up as he tells the crowd to shut up for booing; he stomps down hard on the chest of Mr Kennedy before picking him up. Christian Cage chops Kennedy’s chest a few times, Mr Kennedy stumbles back into the ropes, he then runs at Christian only to be hit with a huge back body drop. Mr Kennedy lands down on the mat hard, he slowly gets up with a hurt look on his face as he holds his back in pain, Kennedy slowly turns around right into an atomic drop. Mr Kennedy drops to the mat in pain, Christian goes for a pin, 1…2…and Kennedy kicks out. Christian Cage brings Mr Kennedy back up to his knees, he clubs down on the back of Kennedy with hard punches, Kennedy stays on one knee holding his back in pain. Christian Cage runs and bounces off the ropes; he hits Kennedy with a hard snap dropkick directly to the face which knocks Kennedy over onto his back. Mr Kennedy lies on the mat hurt as Christian goes for yet another pin, 1…2…and once again Kennedy gets the shoulder up in time. Christian Cage gets up a little frustrated, he stomps on the mat in anger before pulling Mr Kennedy back up to his feet, Kennedy gives Cage a few hard punches to the face, he Irish whips Cage into the ropes before running off the ropes as well, both men meet and connect with cross bodies to one another in the middle of the ring. The ref begins to count both men out, 1…2…3…4…5…They both get back up in pain; they each once again trade blows. Christian Cage ends it with a kick to the mid section of Mr Kennedy, Cage then grabs a hold of him and goes for a swinging neck breaker but Kennedy counters by pushing Christian off and when Cage turns back around to Mr Kennedy he is kicked in the mid section followed up by a DDT by Kennedy! Both men lie on the mat in pain as Kennedy gets his arm over Cage for the pin, 1…2…and Christian Cage manages to kick out.

Mr Kennedy slowly rolls over off of Christian Cage, he then slowly gets back up to his feet. Christian Cage slowly gets up a little dizzy after the DDT, he stumbles into the middle of the ring where Mr Kennedy drops him with a clothesline. Christian Cage gets right back up and slowly stumbles into another clothesline from Kennedy. Christian Cage again slowly gets back up holding his head in pain, Mr Kennedy runs and hits him with a dropkick which knocks Christian over, Cage slowly rolls out of the ring to catch his breath. Christian Cage stands on the outside of the ring holding his head in pain, Mr Kennedy rolls out of the ring and comes up behind Christian Cage. The ref begins to count, 1…2…Mr Kennedy grabs a hold of him and slams him down head first on the edge of the ring apron, Christian stumbles backwards in pain, he then leans against the announcers table holding his face. Mr Kennedy slowly walks over to Christian, he gets just in front of him when all of a sudden Cage hits Kennedy with a drop toe hold which trips Mr Kennedy and he goes headfirst into the announcers table. The ref continues to count,3…4…5…6…Both men lie on the ground outside the ring still in a lot of pain but they both slowly get back up to their feet, 7…8…They both slowly slide back into the ring. Both men make their way back to their feet using the rope for leverage; they both fully get back up at the same time. Christian Cage and Mr Kennedy slowly move back into the middle of the ring, they begin to go punch for punch, Mr Kennedy knees Christian in the mid section before getting him in position for the Mic Check but before Kennedy hits it Christian Cage delivers him a few hard back elbows to the head. Mr Kennedy releases Christian Cage, Christian then drops him with a dropkick, Kennedy lies on the mat in pain. Christian Cage slowly walks over to the corner and climbs up to the top rope just as Mr Kennedy slowly gets back up to his feet, Kennedy stumbles over by Christian who dives off and hits him with a huge diving cross body block with a pin, 1…2…and Kennedy finds a way to kick out!

Christian Cage gets up again a little frustrated; he then stomps on Mr Kennedy a couple of times before climbing up to the top rope once again. Christian Cage looks around be for diving off and nailing Mr Kennedy with a huge Frog Splash, Cage stays on him with the cover, 1…2…and Mr Kennedy somehow kicks out! Christian Cage slowly gets back up to his feet with an angry look on his face; he signals that he is going for the Unpretier. Mr Kennedy slowly gets up in pain, he stumbles towards the middle of the ring and is set up for the Unpretier but Kennedy unhooks his arm and nails Cage with the Mic Check! Mr Kennedy slowly makes the cover, 1…2…and Christian Cage kicks out just in the nick of time. Both men lie on the mat in a lot of pain, they then slowly make it back up to their feet. They begin to trade lefts and rights until Christian Cage goes for a clothesline which Mr Kennedy is able to duck and counter with a huge neck breaker from behind, Christian Cage lies on the mat holding his body in pain as Kennedy slowly makes his way over for a pin, 1…2…and again Cage kicks out just before 3. Kennedy lies on the mat to catch his breath as Cage lies there holding his neck, Mr Kennedy is first to get up as he slowly walks over to Christian Cage. Mr Kennedy bends down to pick Christian Cage up only to be hit with a hard jaw breaker; Kennedy stumbles backwards into the turnbuckle holding his face in a lot of pain as Christian Cage slowly gets back up. Mr Kennedy slightly holds his back and face in pain before running out at Christian Cage only to be hit with a hip toss, Kennedy lies on the mat as Cage goes down for a pin, 1…2…and Kennedy kicks out!

Mr Kennedy lies on the mat barely moving, Christian Cage decided to go back up top for another Frog Splash. Christian climbs to the top and shouts at the crowd while Kennedy gets back up to his feet. Mr Kennedy then runs and pushes the legs of Christian Cage causing him to drop down onto the top of the turnbuckle, Kennedy climbs up onto the first rope and throws Christian onto his shoulders, he then climbs to the top and dives off nailing Christian Cage with the Green Bay Plunge!!! Christian Cage lies on the mat motionless as does Mr Kennedy who has his arm over Cage, 1…2…and 3!

Here is your winner, Mrrrrr Kennedy!!!

Styles: A very competitive match here by Mr Kennedy and Christian Cage! Christian Cage tried his best to cheat his way to victory but Mr Kennedy ended up getting the win!

Adamle: A great match by both men, Mr Kennedy will be very glad with the result and Christian, not so much. Kennedy proved Cage wrong after all Joey, in a good match.

Styles: That’s right Mike. I wonder how both of these superstars will react to this on Wednesday at Explosion!?

The camera goes backstage to JB who stands by with Shawn Micheals…

JB: Shawn, last week in a gruelling match with Kurt Angle you came out victorious but with a hurt ankle. You have that ankle heavily wrapped; do you think that will affect you in your match tonight with Randy Orton?

HBK: Jeremy, I’m not gonna lie to you, its not looking very good. Last week when I faced Kurt Angle he locked me into the Angle lock and I am feeling the effects of that now, it will affect me in my match tonight JB, but that is not going to stop me from kicking Randy Orton’s ass! He has pissed me off to much for me to stop now and my ankle being hurt will definitely not stop me from getting in the ring and competing in front of these thousands of fans! Randy, if you think that you are going to end my career here tonight then you are wrong by a long shot. It’s people like me Randy that got you where you are today, but your ego has overgrown and you don’t realize that anymore. Tonight Randy, in that very ring I am going to hit you with the Sweet Chin Music! And the winner of the match will be the Show Stopper, the heart break kid, SHAWN MICHEALS!

Styles: Shawn Micheals ankle isn’t looking to good but what a lot of heart he has, he is still going to compete here tonight!

Adamle: Yeah well it wouldn’t be like Shawn Micheals if he backed out because of an injury. What a match that will be later on tonight!

Styles: That’s right Mike. The Heart Break Kid has never been a let down to any of his fans and tonight will be no different. Later on…

Joey Styles is cut out by the theme of Kazarian and Matt Bentley as they walk down to the ring with cheers from the crowd, the Worlds Greatest Tag Team’s theme then hits as they walk down to the ring with loud boos from the crowd!

Match 3 for the Tag Team Titles
Kazarian and Matt Bentley Vs The Worlds Greatest Tag Team

Charlie Haas and Kazarian both enter the ring to start the match off, they slowly move around the ring away from each other before binding up in the center of the ring. Charlie Haas is able to overpower Kazarian as he begins to slowly push him backwards, Haas then pulls him in and locks him into a side headlock. Kazarian tries to escape it but Haas has it locked in tight, Kaz slowly moves back on to the ropes, he then pushes Haas off sending him across to the ropes on the other side of the ring. Kazarian runs in as Haas runs towards him, Kaz drops him with a hard dropkick. Both men quickly get back up, Haas goes for a clothesline on Kazarian which Kaz ducks and begins to run at the ropes, Kazarian gets to the rope and springboards back off them for a cross body which Charlie Haas runs right into and the pin, 1…2…and Haas gets the shoulder up. Both men get back up to their feet, Haas gives Kazarian a knee to the stomach before lifting him up for a suplex, Kazarian in mid air knees Haas in the head followed by Kazarian dropping down and hitting him with a huge DDT! Both men lie on the mat in pain; they then slowly begin to get back up to their feet still groggy. Charlie Haas dives out and makes the tag to Shelton Benjamin who leaps into the ring, he runs over to Kazarian who is still just getting back up. Shelton goes to kick Kazarian but Kaz catches his boot then from out of nowhere he jumps up and tries to kick Kazarian with his other leg but Kaz realizes and ducks it leaving Shelton to land hard down onto the mat. Shelton Benjamin gets back up slightly in pain, he swings at Kazarian but Kaz ducks it and hits Benjamin with a hard swinging neck breaker, again both men lie on the mat in pain. Kazarian gets back up and stumbles his way over to the top rope, he climbs up and looks at the crowd and all of a sudden Shelton Benjamin gets back up and springs up to the top rope before taking Kazarian down with a huge belly to belly suplex! Both men lie on the mat barely moving until Shelton puts his arm out over Kaz for the cover, 1…2…and somehow Kazarian is able to kick out.

Shelton Benjamin slowly gets back up to his feet, he stumbles over to Charlie Haas and drops down in front of him just able to make the tag as Kazarian crawls his way over to his partner Matt Bentley. Charlie Haas grabs him by the legs; he then twists the legs over and locks Kazarian into the Haas of Pain! Matt Bentley slowly exits the ring as Kazarian continues to crawl over to him, Charlie Haas slowly gets back up to his feet as he makes the tag to Shelton Benjamin who gets back into the ring still in pain. Kazarian gets finger tips away from Matt Bentley before diving out and making the tag, Bentley rushes into the ring. Shelton Benjamin comes sprinting at him for a clothesline but Bentley ducks underneath it and bounces off the ropes on the opposite side that Benjamin is on, they both run back towards each other and Matt Bentley nails him with the Super Kick!!! He drops down onto Shelton Benjamin for the pin and looks up for the ref to count realizing the ref is arguing with Charlie Haas while Kazarian is on the outside of the ring in pain. Matt Bentley walks over to the ref and Haas and tells the ref to come and make the pin, the ref turns around and walks over to Shelton to get ready for the pin but before Bentley turns around Haas grabs him by the hair and drops down off the apron which flings Bentley backwards onto the mat. Matt Bentley slowly gets back up holding his throat; he turns around right into the groggy Shelton Benjamin who nails him with Pay Dirt! Benjamin drops down onto Bentley for the pin, 1…2…and 3!!!

Adamle: I guess he just got sick of loosing each week with Matt Bentley on his team but what he just done was very uncalled for!

Styles: Tell me about. The Worlds Greatest Tag Team retain although Bentley and Kazarian could have had the match won if it wasn’t for the tag champs cheating throughout the whole match.

Adamle: Yeah that could be true. Look at poor Matt Bentley, lying on the mat in pain barely able to move after that brutal attack by Kazarian with the help of the tag team champions!

The camera then goes backstage to the locker room, Jamie Noble is warming up for his match as Jay Lethal walks in…

Lethal: Hey, if it isn’t Jamie Noble, how you doing bro?

Noble: I’m doing fine Jay, I am just preparing for our huge X-Cage match later tonight! How are you?

Lethal: I’m good. Now about our match, whatever I may do to you in that cage is nothing personal man, I have to hurt you so I can become the X-Division Champion.

Noble: Yeah, I won’t be holding back on you or anyone else and I would like you to do the same because I like competition and winning that title the hard way is the best way, for me anyway.

Lethal: Yeah bro. It should be one hell of a match and in that match; we will prove to Christopher Daniels that we are competition enough!

Noble: Yeah, and Jay, I promise you this. After our match tonight, your new X-Division Champion will be Jamie Noble!

Lethal: Nah man, Jamie, you got it all wrong. After the match the new X-Division Champion will be Black Machismo, Jay Lethal. OOOOOOOH YEEAHHHHH!!!!!

Both men shake hands with smiles on their faces before walking off as the camera goes back out to the announcers table…

Styles: Those two men respect each other so much but in there match tonight they will not be going easy on each other.

Adamle: Yeah, especially with the X-division title being on the line! That match will take place later tonight in the match that Owner and General Manager of IPW Eric Bishoff made, the X-Cage match…

The opener was solid. I enjoyed reading it and I'm not too surprised Carlito walked out as the new Television Champion. The short Jericho interview hyped up his match against Angle very well. Kennedy versus Christian was a very good match. I liked Kennedy winning cleanly with the Green Bay Plunge. Good HBK interview. Kazarian/Bentley versus TWGTT was a terrific match. I really got into it. AJ Styles/Abyss was an alright match to me. I thought it could've been better but it wasn't a horrible match. I just felt it could've been written a bit better. I'm looking forward to part two where I will be dropping a full review.

No Way Out Part 1

TV title match- Wow, very chaotic. Lot's of action. Very good. I enjoyed this one a lot.

Jericho promo- It felt kind of boring and out of character.

Kennedy vs. Christian- Good back and forth. I loved how you ended this one.

HBK promo- Good way to hype the Y2J/HBK match.

Tag Title match- This was fast paced. Pretty good. I liked the after match attack, should turn into a good angle.

Lethal/Noble promo- It was okay, but with the people that you were working with, it couldn't have been much better.

AJ vs. Abyss- It was good. I think it could have been better.

AC: Good show thus far. I do have a problem getting into your matches, it seems to me that they are too long.

TV Title Match - Lots of different styles in the match, and I think you did a pretty nice job in having everyone mesh together. It was a nice opener, but Carlito winning was pretty odd. I still think he'll have a good run, and maybe Striker vs Carlito should be a feud to look out for.

Jericho promo - Good job in showing Jericho's personality. It was a little bland in the first part, but it still did what it was supposed to do. But this kinda creeped me a little...

JB: Ahhh yeah Okay
:jump:

Kennedy vs Cage - Really exciting match. It was back and forth throughout, and you did a good job with Cage's false comeback after kicking out of the Mic Check. Kennedy should be getting a push if that's what you were aiming for.

HBK - It wasn't as good as the Y2J promo, but it still was decent. It was another promo hyping up the big match with Orton. I could've seen more, but it was fine.

Kaz-Bentley vs Haas & Benjamin - Pretty sick match, it was really fast paced. It really was a great written match, and everything flowed really nice. Haas & Benjamin should be good tag champs, I wasn't really thinking that Kaz & Bentley were going to win. Kaz's turn at the end was good too, I guess he could be in line for a push too.

Lethal & Noble - Pretty odd, I really didn't see the purpose of it. X-Cage should be pretty sick though.

Styles vs Abyss - This could've been a tough match to write because they're so different. I liked this match. It built nicely to a huge finish. It was a little choppy in flow at some parts, but things made sense most of the time. It was set nicely at the end, with no sells all around, old school style. Great way to end part 1.

Styles: Half of the PPV gone and half left ready to go, what a great opening half to the PPV and the rest of it is bound to be good with the way the card is looking!

Adamle: Yeah and next up it’s the new huge match that Eric Bishoff came up with, the X-Cage match…

The Cage is lowered as everything is put into place by the staff; the superstars then make their ways down to the ring and enter the cage as the match is started…

Christopher sits at the top of the cage in the corner, he then flips down and nails Sabin with a huge sunset flip.

Chris Sabin rolls over to the side of the ring in a lot of pain as Jay Lethal slowly gets back up to his feet, he runs over to Daniels who is back up. They both begin to trade punches, Jay Lethal fires up with punches to the face of Daniels. Christopher Daniels stumbles backwards into the ropes, Lethal goes for an Irish whip but Daniels counters with his own sending Lethal into the ropes, he comes running back and Daniels hits him with a back body drop. Jay Lethal gets up slightly holding his back; he runs right at Daniels and hits him with a huge spinning hurricanrana. Christopher Daniels lies on the mat in pain as Jamie Noble quickly gets up and runs right at Lethal, he drops him down to the mat with a clothesline. Jay Lethal gets right back up as Noble runs at him; Lethal ducks and pushes Jamie Noble who goes face first into the hard steel of the cage. Jamie Noble stumbles around only to be dropped by a dropkick from Lethal. Jay Lethal slowly makes his way up the turnbuckle, he gets to the top and grabs a hold of the cage getting ready to climb some more as Jamie Noble gets back up to his feet slowly. Jamie Noble walks over and gets to the top of the turnbuckle, he grabs a hold of Lethal’s foot and tries to pull him down but Lethal kicks Noble in the head knocking him down to the mat. Jay Lethal continues to climb until Jamie Noble gets back up and runs towards him, Noble climbs back up and again grabs the foot of Lethal. Jamie Noble pulls Lethal and he falls down onto the turnbuckle, Noble then grabs him and hits him with an arm drag off the top, all me lie on the ground in pain.

Chris Sabin gets back up, he walks over to Jamie Noble who is about to get back up. Chris Sabin puts an end to that by stomping on the body of Jamie Noble, Noble rolls away and gets up as he stumbles right into a dropkick by Sabin. Chris Sabin quickly runs towards to turnbuckle, Noble gets back up and walks over to Sabin. Christopher Daniels and Jay Lethal both get back up to their feet slightly in pain, they run to the turnbuckles and begin climbing, Jamie Noble makes his way towards the title. Jay Lethal and Christopher Daniels climb up and make it to the top of the cage as Jamie Noble is a few finger tips out from the title, Lethal and Daniels both dive out and double missile dropkick Noble causing them all to fall down hard on the mat from high up in the air. They all lie on the mat in pain as Chris Sabin gets up and begins climbing, he gets up on top of the turnbuckle and stares down at the rest of them. Jay Lethal and Christopher Daniels both run and get up onto the turnbuckle; they grab Chris Sabin and hit him with a double suplex from the top rope! All men lie on the ground in pain, Jay Lethal and Christopher Daniels then both slowly get back up. They trade a couple of punches until Lethal knees him in the mid section causing Daniels to bend down slightly before Black Machismo hits him with the Lethal Combination, Daniels lies on the mat in a lot of pain as Lethal makes his way over to the turnbuckle.

Chris Sabin slowly gets back up onto his knees; Jay Lethal sees him and walks over to him. He gives him a few punches to the side of the head before running and bouncing off the ropes, he then sprints towards Sabin only to see that Sabin is back up to his feet and he nails Lethal with a huge enziguri. Again all men lie on the mat in pain; Chris Sabin gets back up holding his back as he stomps away at the body of Jay Lethal. Chris Sabin picks Jay Lethal up; he lifts him up and plants him down hanging in reverse on the turnbuckle. Christopher Daniels slowly gets back up to his feet and Sabin does the exact same to him, he then sprints across the ring to Lethal and hits him with a huge hesitation dropkick. Jay Lethal hangs there in pain as Chris Sabin gets right back, he runs and hits Daniels with a hesitation dropkick also. Chris Sabin gets up onto the turnbuckle; he then begins to climb up the cage getting closer and closer to the title. Television Title Match-Good choice for an opener. Several different styles represented here and everything meshed pretty well. Good finish with everybody hitting finishers until Carlito is the last person standing. I'm anxious to see who his first title feud will be against.

Jericho Promo-Didn't excite me at all and made Jericho seem dull.

Kennedy (Kennedy) vs. Christian-Very even match with several false finishes. Christian seemed to have the match won on several occassions but Kennedy surprises everyone and comes away with the victory.

HBK Promo-Really explains how Michaels is not 100 percent heading into the match against Orton but he still wants to fight.

Tag Title Match-Experience vs. Quickness in this one. Great back and forth match with Shazarian having the match in hand before Haas uses a cheap trick to allow Benjamin to get the win. Nice little turn after the match. Kazarian should be able to show more personality as a heel.

Noble and Lethal promo-A little bland and Lethal didn't really seem in character. Seemed like a run of the mill tag team partners competing for the same title promo.

Abyss vs. Styles-Good match but seemed to be lacking something. Finish was still good with Styles countering the Black Hole Slam into the Pele to set up the Spiral Tap.

X Cage Match-Wow. Lots of incredible action in this one. Normally a cage match would hinder X division wrestlers but not in this match. Cool finish with Noble powerbombing Danielson who takes the title down with him. Match of the night so far.

Bentley/HBK promo-For some reason this promo made both men seem like they have the charisma of a potato. Wasn't really in character and could have easily been left off the show and saved for another day.

Orton vs. HBK-Another very good match. I would have expected Orton to work over the ankle to limit the effectiveness of sweet chin music.

Women's Title match-This seemed like a slow down match to let the crowd breathe after Orton/HBK and before Jericho/Angle. Still a very good match though with several near falls.

Jericho vs. Angle-Excellent main event match. Great back and forth action in the beginning, several very close near falls, and a nice finish with Jericho letting Angle expend all his energy trying to reach the ropes only to pull him away.

Overall-The second half was definitely better than the first half match wise. X Cage was insanity. Lots of interesting developments. Kazarian and Bentley's feud should be interesting. The only thing I would change is the promos but like I said when reviewing BTW's most recent PPV the promos should be placed on the back burner and the focus should be on the matches. A good show and I can't wait for the fallout on Xplosion.
