Elias avoided inevitable defeat in King of the RIng 2019 by getting injured before the semis - and he's unbeaten since, even after tonight.

(edit 2024-10 for OP cleanup)

So, he should come out next week with a Yoshi Tatsu action figure leg dangling around his neck. It'll show he loves the business

Okay, thanks to @Professor Booty for this new idea!
Who has rightful possession of the Coal Miner's Glove?

1992-10-25 Sting - spins the wheel, makes the deal, grabs the glove, and beats Jake Roberts in a Coal Miner's Glove match at WCW Halloween Havoc
1992-11-22 The Great Muta - beats Sting at NJPW Wrestling Scramble
1992-12-25 Sting (2) - beats Muta at a WCW live event
1993-02-21 Vader - beats Sting in a White Castle of Fear Leather Strap match at WCW SuperBrawl III
1993-03-06 Sting (3) - beats Vader at a WCW live event
1993-03-17 Vader (2) - beats Sting at a WCW live event
1993-04-08 Sting (4) - beats Vader at a WCW live event
1993-11-01 Vader (3) - beats Sting at a WCW live event
1993-11-04 Dustin Rhodes - beats Vader at a WCW live event
1993-12-27 Steve Austin - beats Dustin in a 2/3 Falls match at WCW Starrcade
1993-12-30 Ric Flair - beats Austin at a WCW live event
1994-03-14 Sting (5) - beats Flair at WCW Battle Stars Tour
1994-05-01 Rick Rude - beats Sting at NJPW Wrestling Dontaku

And that's it, as Rick Rude retired after that very match.

And it was so promising too...

Apparently, Zac Taylor hasn't wrestled since. Someone should tell him he's a Bischoff so he deserves to backstage politic more.

(edit 2024-10 for OP cleanup)

That was a ride. It went between the US, the UK, Japan, and Mexico, and who knows where the Bischoff name will go next?

Here's a short TNA one. When Curry Man was fired as the result of a Feast or Fired match at Final Resolution 2008, he believed he'd actually won a shot at the "Fired Championship". But what if he had? Considering Daniels to be the first champion:
Who is the current Fired Champion?

2008-12-07 Christopher Daniels - as Curry Man, gets the pink slip in a Feast or Fired match at TNA Final Resolution, and protests as he's shown the door, thinking he's won a shot at the Fired Championship. He's the only one known to contend for it, so he wins the title.
2009-02-01 Xtremo - beats Daniels, Ash, Tyson Dux, Joe Doering, and Franky the Mobster in a Six-Pack Challenge match at a BSE live event
2009-03-22 Super Kamikaze - beats Xtremo at PWA No Limits
2009-07-17 Tommy Ryder - beats Super K at PWA Summer Assault

And he retires with it. Hopefully he sleeps happy knowing he's forever a champion.

Dusty Rhodes won the rights to Precious for 30 days or something when he beat Jimmy Garvin in the 80s (Can't remember the specific year sorry). Can you trace who currently has her services?

Have another short one, this time about an actual championship that got completely forgotten about:
Who is the current WWE Greatest Royal Rumble Champion?

2018-04-27 Braun Strowman - wins the Greatest Royal Rumble at WWE Greatest Royal Rumble, claiming a very nice looking title belt, but apparently forgetting to bring it back to the US with him
2018-07-15 Kevin Owens - beats Strowman in a Steel Cage match at WWE Extreme Rules
2018-07-28 Bray Wyatt - beats Owens at a WWE live event
2018-09-01 Bobby Roode - beats Wyatt at a WWE live event
2018-10-01 Konnor - beats Roode on WWE Raw
2021-03-26 MDK - beats Kon at PPW SLAMFEST - Battle on the Midway

By virtue of having had exactly 1 qualifying singles match since (a victory against Rhino), Konnor walks out of WWE as champ. Watch him drop the Greatest Royal Rumble title in the trash on Impact or something.

Next up, a longer one.

(2024-10 edit for OP cleanup)

I couldn't find any evidence that this match existed. The closest thing I can find is when Ric Flair beat Garvin for "1 night with Precious" but he found himself stuck with Ron Garvin in drag
