I had no idea what you meant so I looked it up. Totally forgot they had a random Big Show match post show :lol

and then aired it on Raw the next day but kept specifying how it happened right after the Drew vs Brock match. Shit was so weird

One of the funniest things during that time. Showing it on Raw the night after like "oh hey Drew defended the title afterwards." Like bro what lmao

They filmed the match but couldn’t turn the live feed on while it was happening

I think what even makes it weirder is that Wrestlemania 36 was pretaped to begin with. So they had all of this taped about a week and a half beforehand. They could have just had the Big Show match as a Raw match since everything was done before.

I think the logic they were trying to go with was trying to make Drew look stronger by beating Big Show right after he had allegedly just beat Brock. But they jumped through like 15 hoops to do it

Why did Linda McMahon use this for her tribute instead of the nice looking graphic WWE already made?

Clearly had A1 make it for her

Wow…..although I disagree with things he’s said/done, Hogan is forever a legend and that can’t be denied. I respect his contribution to wrestling and he was a big part of my childhood.

Terry Bollea was a piece of shit human being, who held his coworkers back and helped prevent attempts at a Union (the likelihood of that union actually happening if Hogan didn't help squash it is probably small but he did kill it). He also was openly racist and clearly not a good father to his daughter. So part of me is not sad in seeing him go.

But I was born in 1985 and was a wrestling fan my whole life. HULK HOGAN the wrestling character was a HERO in the eyes of children like me from 1984-1993. As an 8 year old I didn't give a fuck about backstage politics. I was happy my hero Hulk Hogan won the Championship from the evil Yokozuna, especially after Yoko cheated to beat The Hitman. That hero of my youth being gone gives me some level of sadness. Also Hulk Hogans popularity is what made wrestling into Prime TIme TV.

Also, Tery Bollea had a wife, had friends, and had a family (don't know the relationship with his son and even though he was estranged from his daughter she has to have some level of grief). As a person who has empathy and human decency I am sad for all those who loved him.

I guess the best way to put it is I'm conflicted but there is most definitely sadness.

So thank you for my Childhood memories, Hulkster. I hope loved ones can find peace in your passing.

I won't mourn Hulk Hogan, nor the man behind the character Terry Bollea. I grew up in a world of wrestling that he had no stakes in at all. I knew of his impact exclusively, and that is all of my attachment to the man. The man himself is Hulk Hogan, they are the same person and have been since the 80s. I cannot ignore the heinous shit Hulk Hogan has said about black people, how he promoted fascism and neo-nazism in modern day society, how he effectively screwed every single person he ever worked with over by ensuring an union could never happen and allowing very few people to rise up the card he was alongside. I will not mourn Hulk Hogan, I will not miss him. I do understand his contributions, but at the end of the day I can't ignore all of the bad to praise the good.

That being said, I will not be upset at anyone who chooses to mourn Hulk Hogan, the wrestling personality. People who grew up with him, who idolized the Hulkamania movement, the people who have had Hulk Hogan as one of their primary wrestling experiences growing up. That is not my business to judge at all, as those people are attached to the personality of Hogan and losing a childhood hero very much sucks. It is fine to be upset with the passing of the idea of Hulk Hogan, but I will not mourn neither Hulk Hogan or Terry Bollea because the majority of my time as a wrestling fan has seen him in his most negative form, an open racist.
