I just watched my favourite AFL team, North Melbourne, a team that I have followed since I was a kid lose an AFL (Australian Football League) match by 4 points. We started the game without any ruckman and so were at a disadvantage but the other team lost two players to injury and we should have run home with it in the final quarter. I got so worked up with every play when we kept turning it over and with every umpiring decision that even slightly goes against us. I went from being angry to happy and then livid during the last ten minutes but now five minutes after the game I am back to normal. Note this is just watching it on television, I wasn't actually at the match since it was in another state.
It happens to me with all sports when I follow my team, I get too into every game and am guilty of talking (well maybe even yelling) at the television during a game (I am not insane ).
So how worked up do you get when watching your favourite team play? Are you a calm supporter, are you really over the top or are you somewhere in the middle?
