To be honest I would get Nia Jax back in NXT and let her do it. I don't think she's doing much on the main roster and I believe she needs the experience/training she'll get from NXT. Plus she's basically one of the few I could see who could legitimately beat Asuka with the other being Charlotte Flair. I don't watch NXT so I don't know the challengers or anything. This is what I would want to see happen though. Plus Asuka could take that role on Raw as the alpha woman
Nice thinking Frosty...that gets Asuka on the main roster and gets Nia back in NXT to develop
for another 6 to 12 months...something which I believe she is in desperate need of.

Haven't read any replies, so this may have been said already.

They're clearly setting up the Mae Young classic to build the next champ.
Whomever wins that will be your next women's champion.

Not doing much?
She's developing a feud with Bliss, and she single handedly squashed half the women's roster last week in the main event of RAW.
If you consider that "not much", I would love to know what she needs to do to garner your attention on RAW.
You know, outside of main eventing it and all.

I cringe each time she talks but that's me. You can put someone in a main event spot (AS WWE have done for years), but that doesn't mean they're ready or worthy of the spot yet. I don't believe she's ready for it either. Her charisma needs to be worked on and her overall package. I don't see her as that alpha female at all. I see her as an angry woman who woke up on the wrong side of the bed. That's why believe she needs more development. Be that in NXT or on Raw I really don't care. If you sit there and say you'll be entertained by a segment with only her doing her thing then I guess you're way more open to the WWE product than I am.

Plus her music is a generic pop song. Doesn't really fit the "Monster" character they're trying to build. I honestly believe she was called up too early and she's just going with it since it's her job and I respect that, but that doesn't mean I think she's being entertaining. Last time I saw one of her matches it was boring. From what I hear it's still the same. You do you though and I'll continue to think she needs more work

Ember Moon gets another shot at Asuka in Brooklyn

Well...it appears that the time may have finally come for Asuka
to drop the NXT Women's Championship and possibly debut
on the RAW or SmackDown following Summerslam...

But...it just feels so fucking predictable.

Look...I like Ember Moon...she has some slick moves and a
certain aura of power and wildness about her...

But I don't think she's ready...or deserving of being the one
to defeat Asuka...plus with Kairi Sane also in the picture...
would Triple H/NXT really pass up the possibility of a
NXT title match between the two Japanese superstars?

While I know Asuka has to drop the title eventually...I still
think Asuka should retain the title for the time being.

(Also...on a side note...I'd rather have Ruby Riot be the
one to dethrone Asuka...

Why?

Because it would be way less predictable)

Do we really have room for Asuka? If they bring her up she needs a strong run right off the bat, and I'm not sure I want to watch Charlotte and the other strong wrestlers job to her.

They are not using the talent they have very creatively right now, I don't know that the time is right for Asuka.

I would really hate for them to bring her up and then have crappy booking for her.

I really wish they would straighten the women's division up. The "shake up" didn't do it.

What's really frustrating is I can't come up with any ideas how to fix it quickly. They are kind of committed to this mess for the immediate future until they can clean it up.

I personally am loving Bliss as the Champ. I don't think Bliss is the right girl to feud with Asuka.

I would also love to see Charlotte have another title shot in the future, but not at the expense of credible booking. Charlotte and Asuka could be amazing given the right storyline, but it would have to be something more long term than they have been doing.

And off topic but while we're talking about the women's division...get Lana out of the ring and back as Rusev's valet. I really enjoyed the two of them together.

If what I have heard about the pay for the NXT wrestlers is true, they better do something quick or she may go back to Japan.

I think they would make room and time for Asuka on the main roster...

In the women's division...due to the 50/50 booking...everyone does
some "jobbing" now and then. Hell...recently Charlotte was defeated
clean 3 times in 2 weeks...by Tamina, Becky and then Natalya...and
none of those results really hurt Charlotte.

The "Shake Up" basically swapped one blonde heel for another...and
the RAW women's division is still focused around the same 4 women...
although with Bayley injured it may allow Mickie James to step up and
get some proper match and promo time on RAW.

I'm personally sick of Bliss as a Champion...she needs to drop the belt
at SummerSlam or soon after and spend some time not being a champion
and not chasing the belt.

Asuka would destroy Bliss in the ring...I would hope they are not looking
to book that match any time soon.

A quick fix option? Well...I'd have Sasha defeat Alexa at SummerSlam
and have Asuka debut the night after as a heel and have her first feud
be against the best worker on RAW.

Or...

Natalya defeats Naomi at SummerSlam and Asuka debuts on the following
SmackDown and the blue brand moves towards a triple threat between Nattie,
Naomi & Asuka. Then once Asuka has the belt...Charlotte steps up to the
challenge.

I hate to say it...but I kind of agree with pairing Lana back with Rusev...at
least until she gets better in the ring.

The really interesting thought is Asuka may simply want to go home to
Japan once she drops the NXT belt. It could be possible that she would
not want to deal with the constant traveling and house shows the main
roster has to deal with.

The truth is...once Asuka is finally defeated...a great deal of what makes
her so special will be lost...and I don't think Ember Moon is ready or deserves
that rub.

I personally would love to see Alexa as the champ for a long long time. She is such a perfect little shit head, and watching her plot, form alliances, avoid matches, and cheat her way to keeping the belt would just entertain the hell out of me.

But I could see how it would be annoying if you didn't like her. I used to dislike Naomi, and felt the same way about her, but she is starting to grow on me. She is a true athlete and a hard worker.

And then when it's time, someone who has never held a title beats her clean after enduring months of her BS and antics and gets a really epic push through am the entire roster trying to claim it from them.

Alexa plays it better than Carmella IMO. Carmella's antics are not as fun for me. It takes the right person to play a heel in that manner.

You had some really good points in that post.

I have a live event coming within a couple hours drive of me In a couple of months. I am really hoping Alexa is there and still has the belt.

I have missed three events in my area this year already because of work. I will be taking a vacation day for this one of need be.

I am really lucky. My area has lots of wrasslin' fans, and draws big crowds so WWE comes 2-5 times a year. It's a shame I missed the ones this year. A smackdown, and two live shows. From what I heard Charlotte had an epic match at one of them.

Its not that I didn't like Alexa Bliss...if you go back and check
some past threads I was one of her biggest supporters and
was stoked when the WWE gave her a run with the title on
SmackDown...(of course I look back at it now and feel real
sorry for Becky)

But then they moved her to RAW and put her in the top spot straight
away...and for me...that was the moment I'd had enough of her.

Basically her entire main roster run has been chasing or holding
a title...time to give someone else a chance.

Instead of Sasha turning on Bayley (which was the long term
angle they had been slowly building to) Alexa strutted in and
basically took Sasha's top heel spot.

Plus for all her strengths...this is a wrestling show (as much as
Kevin Dunn would hate to admit that) and frankly...Alexa hasn't
improved enough to warrant being the champion on the "A-Show"

And heel or face...Sasha deserves the title and a long reign...not
Alexa.

Speaking of Alliances...has the WWE actually explained why Nia
Jax is teaming with Alexa and not beating the piss out of her weekly
until she gets a title shot?

Wait...I know the answer...its...LOOK OVER THERE!!!

No actually the real reason is Total Divas...which is another problem
I have with the current booking on both brands for the women.

The Total Diva stars seem to be getting all the important matches
and spots...while Becky, Charlotte & Sasha seem to be missing out.

Now I know Sasha may still get a SummerSlam title match...but
that is only because Bayley was injured (wrestling Nia Jax of all
people...who saw that coming? I did!)

I actually find "Chicken Shit Heels" (is that the right term?) fucking
annoying...which is why I couldn't stand Owens & Jericho together
while Owens was the Universal Champion.

Plus...the Miz already plays that role perfectly...so why should
anyone else?

I just want Champions to be booked as Champions (Neville & Asuka
being the best examples of this) and win matches on their own.

Heels can cheat...but as long as they do it on their own...I'm fine
with it.

Its the main reason I want Ellsworth to be hit by a bus...he's holding
Carmella back and having a negative influence on the entire SmackDown
women's division.

Carmella has the talent to do "this" alone...but the WWE doesn't agree
with me.

The good thing with NXT taping in advance is they could literally just keep her off TV whilst she recovers, bring her back but not actually have her compete until she has recovered.

If this was the main roster, she would be vacating straight away but to preserve the streak and do whatever it is they are doing with her, they can just explain that she is absent for whatever reason.

They may just say she's taking some time off until a proper "challenger" appears...
which could give the NXT writers enough time to debut Kairi Sane and build her up.

I'm actually curious to see what happens to the rest of the NXT women's
roster now.

I would think that Peyton Royce & Billie Kay are ready for a call up...
and perhaps Ember Moon will be drafted sooner rather than later...
I mean now it appears she won't be winning the title any time soon.

I think Nikki Cross could handle the main roster...and she'd add an
unstable female element to either RAW or SmackDown.

Becky Lynch vs. Nikki Cross please...

I absolutely adore Ruby Riot...but I'm guessing she still has at least
a year in NXT before she's even considered for the main roster...and
Liv Morgan would add some "Cute Bounce" when she is drafted.

So yeah...hopefully Asuka recovers as quickly as possible and can
get back to kicking ass and being awesome.
