I'm glad he's not done, he's GREAT. Only good manager in the WWE. Desperately needed.

Punk is having trouble getting the crowd to hate him, Heyman will help him get the heat he needs without Punk having to attack Jerry Lawler all the time and show the other would be managers how to put the guy their managing over properly (looking at you Vickie Guerro)

The reason why Punk isn't getting consistent heel heat is because he really needs to do something dastardly to make the crowd hate him. Sure he attacked The Rock but then for the next couple of weeks they didn't really follow up on it in terms of strong heel stuff and granted he's done some bad shit to Lawler these past few weeks but let's face it, it's Jerry fucking Lawler.

Really the fans still really like Punk the same way they did with Austin in 01. He'll get booed some like Punk did when he said he was leaving but then it was like fuck it we can't hate him then they cheered lol. Also gonna depend what cities they are in cause I don't see the east coast fans booing Punk no matter what but he could get some good heat if he does some good heel shit against Cena in certain cities. I'm sure when he feuds straight up with Rock he'll get some crazy heat as the fans fully support Rock. If they still cheer him regardless that would be truly remarkable.

This.

Punk's turn hasn't worked because he hasn't been attacking the right people. When a face turns heel by attacking another face, it's only effective if the face that got attacked was jut as over or move over than the face doing the attacking. That's why Punk got booed when he attacked The Rock, because Rock is bigger than Punk. Attacking Jerry Lawler? Getting in AJ's face? It makes Punk look like he's shifting back to the anti authority face he played last year; not a heel.

The problem is, outside of Cena, there's nobody that Punk can really use to turn heel. He's going to get cheered no matter what. So unless he does something drastic, the status quo will remain the status quo.

I didn't even think of that possibility (no idea why). Fans might try and kill Punk if he did that so they should definitely do that.

Needs to lead to a sick ass star studded 5on5 Survivor Series match for a change.

Team Heyman vs Team HHH

This, this and more of this. Would be great to see this lead to a revival of Survivor Series with a proper mainevent elimination match. I was hoping they would do something last year with Old School (Rock, Jericho, HHH etc.) vs. New School (Punk, Cena, Sheamus etc.) but they never went in that direction.

Will be great seeing what these two can do together, two great talkers and I hope that it leads to something big.

As great as the combination of Punk and Heyman would work together I don't really think Punk is the sort who needs a manager he just needs a stronger heel character.

People hate Heyman.

Instant heat, like Edge aligning himself with Vickie, he didn't need her. Didn't hurt him become a heat magnet tho.

Some of the best performers had managers, Mr Perfect had Bobby Heenan.

Even if Punk doesn't need a manager, you can't tell me you'd rather Heyman with someone like Swagger (that seems to be the guy everyone says needs a manager these days), even though Swagger would benefit greatly. Heyman/Punk is definitely the most interesting combination.

I just think it would be an odd fit to put a great character driven wrestler who is great on the mic with a manager of the same irk, its like one of them would have to give way. I except that Mr Perfect and Rick Rude had Heenan but chances are they would have got over without him. If you are going to stick Heyman with Punk then maybe build a heel stable rather just make it them two alone.

I think maybe a feud between the two might be better, you could do it reality base where Heyman slates Punk for giving up on his values for more money and a main event slot.

Punk needs Heyman for the heel factor as Heyman can't get people to hate him. I just wonder how Brock and Punk would work together as Brock seems to be always want to be a star

I think people are using the word "manager" too much with Heyman. He probably isn't exactly a mouthpiece for Punk. He's more of "sports agent" nowadays. It's a different dynamic and I think think in the end it's more about Heyman siding himself with a money maker.
