I didn't say that, but an AR-15 isn't an assault rifle. It's the same as any other rifle you'd buy to go hunting with.

Most of them have the same .223 caliber rounds and a good chunk of hunting rifles can even be reloaded faster than an AR-15.

Not at all. If you want to kill people, not getting your hands on a gun doesn't make all of a sudden no longer want to kill people.
