In 2017, the estimated number of murders in the nation was 17,284. This was a 0.7 percent decrease from the 2016 estimate, a 20.7 percent increase from the 2013 figure, and a 5.0 percent rise from the number in 2008. (See Tables 1 and 1A.)

No one that is a victim of crime necessarily knew they would be. You should always be prepared.

If you don't have a problem being raped or murdered because there's more people that aren't, that's a you issue.

Most people though don't want to be violently assaulted or victims of crimes.

There’s a gun problem in certain parts of Canada. Just throwing that out there. Not as huge as America, but, enough to make you shake your head in absolute disgust.
If guns weren’t available, people would find other ways to kill, however, a lot of those ways would probably give you a better chance at survival. If I run away from a guy with a knife, unless he’s an amazing knife thrower at moving objects, I’ll probably get away. A gun, on the other hand, I’m probably dead.

I love guns in games, though, especially shotguns
