Although Ferris Bueller is a classic in its own right, Psycho revolutionized horror. So many iconic things were born from that. He death of the main character in the middle of the movie is still a bold thing to do. Speaking of Psycho I can't wait to see Hitchcock!

When I made the thread I just looked and this is very difficult to do because Ferris has to go down. Psycho just did so much. All the sequels are shit but this one whew. Really enjoy Ferris and against a different opponent it could have gotten much farther I think.

Psycho is a lot more inspirational, but Ferris is one of my personal favourites. Going with that.

Psycho is probably my favorite horror movie ever, this is not even close to being close for me.

This is tough because they are such different genres and they are films that are right at the top of their genres. I am a big Ferris fan but I had to go with Psycho as that is a classic film, one of the best of all time.

Putting aside the fact that I don't have much time for FBDO could you not argue that something like The Breakfast Club is regarded in higher terms in the teen genre, or even something like Clueless. Also Psycho is a masterpiece which Ferris clearly isn't. Can't believe this result.

Clueless and Breakfast Club were definitely not better movies than FBDO. Maybe BC can at least compare but Clueless isn't even in the same league.

I agree, Breakfast Club is right up there with Ferris but Clueless is nowhere near. Everyone still talks highly of Ferris and Breakfast whereas no-one talks about Clueless.

How do you know? Clueless is still shown on TV on a regular basis and as far as I can tell is still a great feel good movie. Ferris is overrated imo. The lead character is too smug, and the film doesn't give you enough of a reason to like him, the brat should be in school!

Like the pack of vapid bitches who try to turn this poor girl who just transferred into their school as their personal barbie doll are any better.

Nothing worse than people with high opinions of themselves and think they are smarter than they are, trying to make people into their own image. Clueless sucked and the only reason it has any merit is because of Paul Rudd.

I can't help but feel some people voted for Ferris because they haven't seen Psycho. I'm glad that if Psycho loses it's to a great movie like Ferris as opossed to a lot of the others on this tournament. I've always liked the idea of Ferris just being a figment of Cameron's imagination. Puts a whole new spin on the movie.
