If he brought in a 61 year old Sting, that’s all I need to know tbh. Yes obviously Sting is a better wrestler than Goldberg but the concept is the same.

Sting was huge in TNA tho and he's a well established TNA mark lol the man booked Sting and Jeff Jarrett against each other on PPV

trash take tbh. Sting is way different than Goldberg, Sting has been over since the 80s and got a shit run in WWE and never got his flowers. Goldberg is more disliked but he had a better run in WWE than Sting, no one can really argue that. Goldberg pops a rating. Sting brings in wayyyy more than a cheap pop

It be like me starting my own company, bringing in Dolph and making him world champion because.
I'd be okay with that. Dolph is underrated.

Yes but when he debuted they emphasized it was his first appearance on TNT since 2001 so they didn’t ignore that shit :lol

Okay you clearly know more about how Tony feels about this than anyone else and so I won't bother explaining nuances anymore lol

Dolph would be world champ again or in contention had he taken the Cody route. hot take
I agree. I really was hoping the he and theory thing would go somewhere. They should do a tournament of guys that haven't held the belt in over 5 years.

My pitch would legit be “we’ll pay you well, let you do your comedy on the side, make you one of our top guys, and give you a good run with the World Title. Plus we’ll hire your brother.” :lmao

He'd randomly still decline.

Goldberg was arguably a bigger name than Sting when he was at his peak. Obviously it was for a shorter time but he was considered one of the most over wrestlers of all time. And yeah Goldberg is a cheap pop. That’s literally his gimmick. You think Tony wouldn’t want to hear that shit in his arena because he would lol.
