Not at all, he's just a wrestling forum nerd like us that has too much money. He brought in Christian and gave him a PPV main event and booked him to win Impact's titles bc Christian is his favorite wrestler of all time. He's a pure mark
So if he’s a mark with a ton of money and loves Goldberg, he probably bring him in then.

Yeah but we don't know if he actually loves Goldberg lmao that was where I don't think you realized I was joking. Apparently they know each other through charity but that doesn't mean Tony has been a fan of anything Goldberg has done in the last 6 years. I'm not even sure how much of a WCW mark Tony even was, Dynamite has some throwbacks but most are references from before Goldberg was a thing there, like 80s NWA stuff

I also doubt there'd actually be network pressure for Goldberg, I'm not sure at all how the current Turner people give any fucks about their history and with the restructuring I think they care even less about what's actually booked in AEW, only the numbers

So if he does come I'm, I am putting it all on Tony lol

More ROH and TNA 2000s stuff than anything, I think that was the maim era he first watched as a "smark" stuff before probably more childhood or just nerd history nostalgia

yeah and i think the WCW stuff he likes is not peak WCW stuff with the way he talk about ''well WCW used to do this all the time'' .

If he brought in a 61 year old Sting, that’s all I need to know tbh. Yes obviously Sting is a better wrestler than Goldberg but the concept is the same.
