So NOAH did 1054 in Korakuen with the Jr Tag League finals and a GHC Heavyweight defense. Doesn't sound that great to me.

Considering both earlier shows they ran in the hall this month did 800 and 600 respectively this number is great. Especially without Marufuji

It's absolutely hilarious tho that they went back one year in time with the booking today.
Go drops the belt, Maybach is back under the mask. We're back in 2015.
But it's also necessary since no one gives a shit about Go Shiozaki.

Once again we have Sugiura. NOAH must think it's still 2008.

Anyone else watch Kobe World 2016? Just finished it and holy fuck was that show good. So many great matches, so weird that 4 hour show can hold my attention the entire time. I usually get bored and jump on my phone or move on halfway through a WWE PPV or NJPW show. I feel stupid for not watching it sooner tbqh.

The Triangle Gate match was fantastic. Peter Kaasa is an absolute motherfucking beast.
Yamato/Shingo is def. a MOTYC for me.
Yosuke/Eita was great. Eita is really good, such a shame he went out in the first round of the Super J's to Liger. Would have loved to of seen Eita/Kushida.
Sad to say that that isn't me. I started watching the show on Tuesday, and just looking at the time bar makes me want to not watch. I've been on the same match since Tuesday, so it sucks. Hopefully I get the will power to watch it all through.

That's how I am with all shows, really. It takes me about 3 days to finish a 2 hour show.

Mutoh ain't getting much sleep right now I'd wager. Manabu Soya has dislocated his shoulder and torn several ligaments in it, one week removed from challenging KAI for the Wrestle-1 title at W1's biggest ever show in Yokohama (the venue holds 5 thousand people, not that they would draw that much). To boot, Soya was also one half of the W1 tag team champions, so the belts are vacated as well.

Daiki Inaba and Shuji Kondo will face off tomorrow and the winner faces KAI in Yokohama

NOAH's first show out of the Junior Tag League drew 250+. The arena's capacity is up to 1,250. Pretty bad, especially considering their former champion was headlining the show.

The only thing that I agree with NOAH, was bringing in fresh/foreign talent. They got ACH and Andy Dalton, among others.

Wrestle-1 held their biggest show to date. Pro Wrestle Love in Yokohama today. They pulled just over 1900 people to the venue which is great considering all the bad luck they have had this summer which has resulted in some negative press (talents leaving, talks about money problems, bad crowds. One half of the main event getting injured 1 week before the show forcing a rebooking). The venue holds 5000 people in total. So if W1 survives another year this is hopefully something they can build on. In comparison BJW puts about 3.5K in the same venue.

Yusuke Kodama defeated Kotaru Suzuki for the W1 cruiser belt.
Team All Japan (Jun Akiyama, Naoya Nomura & Yuma Aoyagi) defeated Team W1 (Keiji Mutoh, Koji Doi & Kumagoro)
Daiki Inaba, W1's super rookie defeated KAI for the W1 title in the main event.

Hopefully this show serves as a hard reboot for the promotion

DDT will launch their own streaming service, DDT Universe (take that, NJPW World) in January of 2017. It will cost 900 yen (roughly 8 dollars) a month and you will get all DDT shows and all their subfeds, Basara, Tokyo Joshi, Ganbare. The works.

The interesting thing will be to see how this impacts their TV schedule/deal with Samurai TV. DDT is a big company but not big enough that they can say no to Samurai like New Japan can.

They finally did it. Granted it's like 2-3 years late but they did it.

About time. Truly one of the best they have. Just sucks they didn't do it, when they actually drew crowds.

Leggo Nakajima

Leggo Nakajima
You'd expect that the goal with Nakajima on top is to stop any further dips in attendance first and foremost. And hope for growth in the longterm. Nakajima needs a strong run on top to cement him. Logical thing if you ask me is to have Suzuki win the Global League (and I've seen the blocks. That's a rough tournament) so they have him vs Nakajima to close out the year. Then throw some of the New Japan third gen at him. Knowing Jado Kensuke Sasaki will pop up and cost him the belt on the first defense tho.

This showdrew 2104 people in Yokohama. Down from the 2500 they did in the same building in January (which was the show were Sugiura won the belt and they killed the spirit of the loyal fans). This was with Shibata and GBH on the show. So question is how big a impact they had on attendance.

More NOAH news for @Roadster
NOAH has been bought. According to Tokyo Sports, a IT company is in the process of finalizing the purchase ofPro Wrestling NOAH, all its trademarks and contracts. Former All Japan executive Masayuki Uchida (he worked in All Japan under Mutoh, and was supposed to be president of AJPW once Mutoh sold it to Shiraishi, but Shiraishi fired him instead and that caused Mutoh to start the W1 exodus. So Uchida has a pretty eventful history) is to become the new president of the company. This new ownership/corporate structure is rumored to be revealed at Korakuen on November the third.

This will be VERY interesting to follow. Especially how this impact the NOAH and New Japan/Bushiroad relationship. A lot of the big names in NOAH (Shiozaki, Kanemaru, Suzuki-gun boys etc) are under Bushiroad contracts, not NOAH contracts. And a vast majority of the NOAH roster hates having Jado as the booker. This could lead to some pretty big changes in NOAH fairly quickly and there is talk of the bigger names like Marufuji, Ishimori and Momo no Seishun tag (kotoge and Harada) jumping to New Japan.

Uchida being president is also interesting. He's always been glanced over in the history of All Japan as just a Mutoh stooge, and held the company together during the switch from Mutoh to Shiraishi. But he was fired by Shiraishi for questionable decisions in regards to the company (among the things he tried to implement was a feud between All Japan and WWE and to have the Rock work All Japan shows). So he's not exactly a perfect president either. Just overshadowed by Shiraishi and that debacle.

Fair to say we could see some changes to NOAH in the coming year. Big and small. And hopefully for the better, at least long term.
