AKIRA, Tajiri, Minoru Tanaka, Yasufumi Nakanoue and Ryota Hama have decided to leave Wrestle-1 effective immediately when their contracts end at the end of the month.

Bad news for W1, quite a chunk of their roster. And Nakanoue is a tag team champion. I guess the money is running out

That sucks. Tajiri and Tanaka are the only reasons I watch. And I'm pretty sure Hama is a big attraction, having so many folds probably racks in a lot of money.

W1 has said that the door is open for them to keep working as freelancers. And some of them just might. But I see Nakanoue especially splitting since he was rather underpushed and he already has a foot in the door at Big Japan.

Tanaka will probably wind down his career and focus on taking care of his wife who has come down with cancer
