The End knows his mission, and I think out of anyone in the Cobra Unit, he understood what The Boss was doing in the first place, and he just wanted to test The Boss's disciple to see if he was really up to the task.

That was The Sorrow, another massively memorable boss fight.

Debatable, especially considering that MGS1 is kind of a remake of MG2?

MGS is by far my favorite one.

It's actually fucking uncanny how close the plot of MG2 and MGS1 follow each other

There's a tower run, a helicopter battle, and a robot ninja who's actually a former partner in both games (Kyle Schneider in MG2 and Grey Fox in MGS1)

That was MGS2 actually, where the plot seemingly was similar as a deliberate mind-fuck for the player and Raiden
