I remember both me and my friend playing it seperately and you get to that point where you walk down like a river and all the people you killed so far in the game are there. I had like nobody and my friend had a ton of people there. I always used the tranq gun

The End knows his mission, and I think out of anyone in the Cobra Unit, he understood what The Boss was doing in the first place, and he just wanted to test The Boss's disciple to see if he was really up to the task.

That was The Sorrow, another massively memorable boss fight.

There's a tower run, a helicopter battle, and a robot ninja who's actually a former partner in both games (Kyle Schneider in MG2 and Grey Fox in MGS1)

That was MGS2 actually, where the plot seemingly was similar as a deliberate mind-fuck for the player and Raiden
