well isnt that only because certain states write their own history books etc and you guys dont have a national curriculum (do u have a national curriculum, i genuinely dont know)

Let's not also talk about the plethora of Polish works written during Poland's lost centuries where the country was partitioned and just didn't exist. Ukrainians have been writing their own histories despite Russia's overwhelming influence, and Byzantine and Sicilian literature still exist from the middle ages, despite Catholicism and Muslim conquerers.

Education is a provincially ran thing but federally funded and they have to maintain certain standards.
