Yeah I think ive seen you explain this a few times on top of a few comments ive read on the subject. they let "states right" out of control and its a massive problem to this day. states rights should never supersede the central goverment (in my opinion of course) because then what is even the point of being a country. just be 50 states then if thats what u want

And Johnson, seeing the mass power before him, did nothing to stop what arguably became the darkest time in United States history that is shockingly not talked about enough. The Reconstruction Era is probably the worst time in American history. Blacks and Mexicans were lynched, beaten, intimidated, and placed into a worse situation than even Slavery had them. This was during a time where if a black man was a slave, they at least wouldn't be murdered, but now with slavery abolished, they were less than worthless.
