KOTM matches are fire, so you're not comprising any quality. In fact, I'll take most KOTM matches over the majority of the worse MITB ladder matches. If the only way to have quality is for every brand to be the same, then cancel them all and just have WWE. No point in there being 5 WWE's.

Yeah I agreed KOTM matches weren't compromising quality and just because you're using the same match types doesn't mean you can't have your own identity in other ways so not every company is just another WWE if they don't have unique gimmick matches

Matches are just one way, but I think it's an important part. But, the problem too is that most of these brands aren't diversifying themselves in other ways either. Lucha Underground is probably one of the only recent companies to feel different in ages.

I think NJPW diversifies themselves by not having gimmick matches at all, just singles, tags, 6-mans and 8-mans

PWG kinda the same way but that's bc they don't have a budget so they just have the hardcore match every now and then
