But I also can't think of another match concept where I didn't like the concept and still enjoyed the matches so KOTM is just an anomaly overall lol

I liked the penalty boxes, but I agree hanging up the title isn't as good as pulling it down, but you have to do it that way for the match to work. Otherwise an unqualified participant can pull down the title. I'm fine with it.

I would have just preferred a regular multi-man ladder match

But I will also say that Ultimate X was a great concept when it originally banned ladders but then they had some later where a guy just brought a ladder in to try and get the title smh

Again, we've seen thousands of ladder matches and TNA still did regular ladder matches as well, anyways. We gotta move beyond reusing the same old 5 matches we always use. Especially if we're not WWE and want an identity of our own.

I wouldn't ever compromise in-ring quality for identity though, you gotta make sure the idea is great before doing that and I'll grant you that KOTM can count since I thought the matches were really good
