I've heard from many people that weight training will burn more fat than cardio. I can't exactly remember the scientific reasoning but it's something about cardio using calories for energy but heavy lifting will increase your metabolism more and for longer.

Nonetheless I think the best idea for general fitness is to do both. Of course people with different goals may need to lean more on one than the other.

But also... I've heard cardio is more effective if you do it after lifting opposed to before lifting.

Weight lifting will burn more fat, but if you're looking be healthy, having good conditioning is far more important.

It's the dieting that fucks me over cause I'll work out every day but I also don't pass up the chance to eat like trash. :smh
