I have a few Spotify playlists. One that's got like all wrestling themes and PPV soundtracks and shit.

But I think it's bc when I was in high school I went back and watched/listened to a bunch of old stuff that was "considered the best" just to see what all the hype was about and I ended up enjoying most of it

Opposite for me. I can watcher older TV and movies and if the story is good I like it. It helps that I actually prefer older effects and production. I'm not a big fan of over-polished and CGI and all that. For music, it's nostalgia thing more so than anything. I need to remember what it was like the first time I hear or what was happening that year or what films and TV shows were out then and all that stuff.

I know you're younger than me, but it's still before my time. I wasn't alive in the 70s.

I fucks with most of the modern CGI but that time period before it got good but everyone wanted to use it still was hilarious

One of my favorite genres of movies is the 40s/50s film noir mystery films bc they had some of the best plots and stuff and the scenes were all pretty basic and dialogue heavy without anything fancy but those stories ruled

I'll take a animatronic I can see and know it was there when the actors were there on set over the best CGI off all time. I think CGI should only be for stuff that can't be done without it. Like Transformers. I know people shit on those films, but I can understand whey those need to be done with CGI. But, the Ninja Turtles were done amazingly by Jim Henson's.

Yeah I can agree with that, basically if I can't tell it's CGI then I'm cool with it but if it's obvious then it's way more jarring than old school special effects

I can't say I've seen any 40s or 50s films, but I do like 80s and 90s noirs. Even noir satire like Dick Tracy.

Agreed. If I can look at it and imagine it being in a PS2 motion cut scene, I'm taken out.
