I made like $400 just on interest last year so I already knew I was gonna owe I just hope it's not a lot lol maybe like $150 at most or I'm gonna be sad

I'm too scared to mess with stocks and CDs and all that

I'm in the process of closing my investment stuff, I set up an automated portfolio years ago that's done fine but I'd rather also not move the money into stuff I know better instead of that now

CDs are easy, I just started invested in one. You just put in a set amount and it locks in the interest you're paid each month no matter how the rate changes for whatever time period you agree to

And at the end of the time period you get the rest of your money back, but you get penalized if you need it earlier so it's like a locked savings account

 

[Butters]

Yeah, CDs seem like a safe bet but stocks I can't risk

I wouldn't have the time to actually do stocks myself even if I understood better

 

[Butters]

I don't really have anything to put in them tho that would make the interest back really worth it

The automated investments seem good from major companies though, you answer questions about what you want out of it and they do the work for you, and just hopefully we'll

Yeah I did the minimum for this one and I'm getting like $11 a month, but I didn't wanna do a lot in case I misunderstood something about how they worked lol

It's only 9 months too which is nice

I bank through USbank and they have some that are 9 months too.

still, 11 a month you can save up and when you get it back you can take all of it and do it again

Yeah that's the plan really, whatever I know I can afford i might as well have it making some money back
