I usually put the exact amount for everything so idk how i always have a leftover amount in there

Also did my income taxes today, I almost always get around a grand back but last year I owed

this year seems to be like a $300 refund, better than paying i guess.

I'm gonna owe this year bc my company's payroll decided that wanted to actually be accurate for once and not take out too many taxes from my paycheck

When I put the W2 info in, I was getting like a $4 refund which means they were super accurate

So after I put in my interest income and stuff I should owe for that

I used turbotax and they were like, "oh looks like we need to move you to the deluxed edition so its $80. do you want to pay this with your return? that will be a $40 processing fee"

damn robbery

The only other time I had my W2 taxes be so close was the year I did my own payroll at my old job

I've used Turbotax since 2008.

I use H&R block, you can do it almost all free. I have to pay a bit extra for my investment accounts bc the gains from them aren't in the free version

If I just had my regular job and interest income I could do free

yeah when tried H&R block and they charged the same thing.

what hurt me this year is I cashed out some 401k
