I am no idea where this conversation started, but what I would say Bischoff was a great businessman and Heyman is creative genuis. Let Heyman run the book while E ran the numbers. WCW probably would look pretty good.

Would certainly be an interesting thought exercise if Heyman ran WCW and Bischoff ECW.

I'd say I should start working on a BTB like that, but heck, I would be horrible for that sort of project. ...because you'd have to really go deep into how they book and shit, so it doesn't get distorted.

Actually now that I'm thinking about it, if Bischoff owned ECW, it probably wouldn't have had money problems, he likely would have gotten some sort of investors involved and a better TV deal.

1000%. I’m surprised it never occurred to Heyman to think about somebody with money that would keep him on as Booker.

IIRC, Russo talked about trying to convince Heyman to come work for TNA when Hogan/Bischoff were there, but he wanted to buy into TNA, and Dixie Carter was never gonna let that happen.

I wouldn't call Bischoff a great businessman with the same weight behind it as calling Heyman a great booker, but yea... them running a promotion together in the mid-90s... that would've been interesting

it would and wouldn’t be. Just gotta find the right people. Supposedly Billy Corgan’s desire to book started back then and before it went bankrupt offered to buy it in 2000 sometime, but Heyman wanted too much and to retain ownership. He was such a terrible businessman.
