I don't feel this satisfies my inquisition because the song was on the album Killswitch dropped in 2006, it wasn't made for WWE. And the band definitely had hits prior. However I can accept that WWE for whatever reason bought it in perpetuity (probably wasn't expensive relative to other music)

it was on the special edition as a bonus track. They likely did the song for WWE and they were allowed to use it as a bonus track. And even still Killswitch had some hours but they were hardly chart toppers.
