The song was released on WWE Wreckless Intent, a 2006 compilation album. As far as I know that was the first (and maybe only) release of the song. WWE likely paid for the rights in perpetuity. Considering Killswitch Engage in 2005/6 was hardly a global sensation it probably wasn't too expensive either. .

I don't feel this satisfies my inquisition because the song was on the album Killswitch dropped in 2006, it wasn't made for WWE. And the band definitely had hits prior. However I can accept that WWE for whatever reason bought it in perpetuity (probably wasn't expensive relative to other music)
