I fucking hate maxing out though, so once I quit football I never did it again for bench or anything. Just upped weight when I was doing my standard 5 or 8 rep sets when I needed
At my strongest I think I was probably only benching like 150, 3 sets of 8 reps. Idk what that would have translated to as a max weight but I was at like 195 in high school last I did it
