I just remember hearing he was the guy to open trades w china n that's what I really see as the big globalization thing but mb that's too us centric of a view

yeah I was also thinking about how multiple governments were changed to essentially what they seem to be stuck with (in our biased modern eyes at least), it's like the era where the world as we know it today was shaped
