The gimmick on the at-will employment states like Texas is since you don't need to give a reason for firing you just don't, and as long as you don't say the reason is one of the few protected ones (race, gender, etc) you're never really gonna get in trouble if that is the actual reason unless you're one of those really dumb people that talk about it in emails

which is crazy because there is a housekeeper right now that sucks and they want to fire him but they are scared he's gonna try and file for unemployment or sue for wrongful termination. its like im pretty sure we don't have to give a reason
