People like me who get a bit defeatist about all the neg internet talk around aew should read this at least 20 times and remind themselves to enjoy what they like and fuck everyone else ( I did not write this, but this post resonated with how I feel):
Fan sentiment hasn't really turned against AEW. AEW has a core audience that like the show as an alternative and enjoy following it as much as before. The negative sentiment comes from people who are not the core audience and want AEW to be basically the same as WWE by constantly comparing them together. When the very basis of how AEW is put together is entirely different than WWE.
