The fans and the culture aren't different......they all hate watch something they loved as a child.Pro wrestling isn't the same as film. The culture is different, the fans are different and the toll it takes on the wrestlers are different. The way it's presented is different. Just stop.
That sounds more like a you problem than a sweeping generalization.Deezy said:The fans and the culture aren't different......they all hate watch something they loved as a child. Pro wrestling is no different.....it's just theatre where the ring is the stage. (Thread reply)
@Mox Girl Hey babe, how was SmackDown?Undeniable said:I've not seen it. Probably the same as usual. Unless someone tells us it was better this week.
If I said this on Twitter or Facebook..... I'd get the same silly reaction.Yeah, words have literal meaning. You're on the internet talking about wrestling. That's the IWC. Hate to break it to ya, but you can't escape what it it and what you are. Also, even if we weren't being uber literal, you're on actual forum. Not just causally making references on Twittefr or Facebook. You're the most common definition that people would use for IWC. Embrace yourself.
Actors don't pretend to be their characters and the films don't present themselves as being real to make the stories work. I'm sorry but I think we're done here since you can't grasp the fundamental differences between wrestling and film.Deezy said:The fans and the culture aren't different......they all hate watch something they loved as a child. You stuck on shit that's evolved....IWC isn't literal...it's a mentality. Also, KIF was arguing against what WiFi stands for (Wireless Fidelity) so like what? Your comparisons are terrible.
Pro wrestlers don't pretend to be their characters......what are you stuck in the 70s?Actors don't pretend to be their characters and the films don't present themselves as being real to make the stories work. Facebook has millions of users and Facebook wrestling groups are huge at the moment. I think you're the one that's behind the times and as for Twitter, it depends on how frequently you use it to discuss wrestling. If you're tweeting during the entire show and then spend all week talking to other wrestling fans on Twitter, than yes, that's the IWC. You can hate it and want to distance yourself from what you are and what you care about by pretending to be above it, but it doesn't work like that.Deezy said:If I said this on Twitter or Facebook..... No, it's not, You just want it to be so you can distance yourself from others who enjoy the same thing you do. You just want to keep using IWC like it's an insult despite you being a part of it. Like people who use smark derogatorily.Deezy said:You stuck on shit that's evolved....IWC isn't literal...it's a mentality. More like a cult at this point. (Thread reply)
Most wrestlers continue to use their stage names everywhere and continue to work their programs on socials. It's only recently started to get away from that and only barely.Deezy said:Pro wrestlers don't pretend to be their characters......what are you stuck in the 70s? (Thread reply)
