Former WWE Superstar Rosey Hospitalized

- Former WWE star Rosey (Matt Anoi’a) has developed early stages of congestive heart failure and a condition called atrial fibrillation. He was hospitalized this week with his enlarged heart functioning at 25%. His heart issues led to a lot of fluid buildup. 62 pounds of fluid have been drained from his body and doctors are hoping to drain another 30 pounds before he leaves the hospital in a few days. Anoi’a is the older brother of WWE Superstar Roman Reigns.

Thought this was worth bringing attention to. Here's hoping he gets better soon.

Condition all too common with the bigger guys in this family. Amazed Rikishi never ended up with these problems. Hope Rosey ends up getting himself as healthy as he can.

It's been said that Rikishi didnt drink a lot in stories I've heard, so he didn't compound his genetics and size with the bad habits

Morbidly obese heart disease.....easily avoided if you can put the hotdog down and pick up an apple. Should've listened to the people from Biggest Loser.

My aunt has had the same thing since 2002 and now she's doing fine.

It's something that sounds worse than it is or maybe just not as serious as his.

Looks like they caught this pretty late, I hope they can save him. His Super Hero In Training stuff was pretty fun a few years back.

Oh, absolutely. But it is greatly influenced by genetics alone... so being a big guy, it's not hard to imagine he could have ended up dealing with this condition. But I'm sure little or no alcohol really helped him out, and I believe Rikishi may stay a little more active than the others (barring Umaga, although, if I'm not mistaken, I believe he was ruled drug overdose instead of a heart disease) in order to keep himself in shape enough to not deal with this kind of stuff.

Regardless, I hope Rosey gets himself together, because I would love to see him in the future do an angle with Roman in the E... not necessarily a feud or huge storyline, just something where he's around every once in a while.
