Former WWE Announcer Jonathan Coachman Posts Teaser for WWE-Related Announcement

Former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman, who now works for ESPN, posted a teaser on Twitter this afternoon that has fans speculating on a return to the company or possibly some role at SummerSlam. He tweeted the following:

"Hey all you @wwe fans. Have a really cool announcement in the next month or so about something happening this summer. Stand by."

As noted yesterday, former WWE announcer Jonathan Coachman told fans on Twitter that he has a WWE-related announcement coming in the next month and it has to do with something happening this summer. It's worth noting that WWE added Coach's entrance video to YouTube this morning. Coach also re-tweeted this comment from a fan:

"I'm sure we are all jumping the gun on this but i'd love to see @TheCoachESPN back in @WWE. He was a LEGIT heel back in 2004 it was unreal!"

So what do we think then? Some on air-role or maybe hosting some sort of show on the Network?

There's obviously something behind his comment as the WWE added a 'Where Are They Now' piece on him and uploaded his Entrance Video to their YouTube channel.

I'd love for Coach to come back, but I feel like this isn't just a return announcement. May be some stuff about WWE being featured on ESPN some or something.

He'd be a good guy to pickup for the WWE Network. He's now a legit broadcaster with a WWE background. He could host a show and such. I could dig it. I liked Coach.

Wasn't ESPN rumored to be interested in picking up Raw after their contract ended this year? Wonder if it has anything to do with that.

Most likely though its of the Sports Center like show that WWE talked about being on the Network. Coachman would be a great pick up for that show. Put her with Renee Young who always has legit broadcast experience like that and we have a nice table building.

I remember seeing the tweets and kind of celebrating. Loved the dude in WWE and in my opinion, he'd be welcomed back immediately.

Didn't expect a lovefest in a thread about a guy EVERYONE was hating on damn near through his whole run. I can remember seeing threads all over the IWC on how this guy sucked, was the worst comentator ever, he can't get heat, he is a terrible promo, he is so annoying, he can't bump....ect...and when it was leaked he was gone from the company, "no fucks were given" "good riddance" "bout fuckin time".

Absence does make the heart grow fonder indeed.

Was thinking the same thing. I didn't care for him as much of a GM or commentator, but when he was Bischoff's lackey he was fucking great. His stuff with Rock was hilarious as well.

Also, its possible than the IWC crowd deezy saw the hate from wasn't any of us.

I have always felt the same on Coachman as a face he was very bland, but when he went heel he got a new lease of life.
