On the Nash thing it has always been my belief that Vince and WWF got him over because of their smart promotion, and because they put him against the likes of Michaels and Hart guys they knew could carry most to good matches. The smart thing WCW did was book him as a version of himself rather than another fancy character, quite often this works best in wrestling. To his credit he did excel in the role at least for awhile.

Yeah I just think there is fine line between luck and smarts and its one Nash was balanced on for sure. Also to be fair when he put his mind to it he could produce some very commanding in ring work, sadly that happened not as often as it should.

That being said, I look back on his matches with Bret fondly, I also loved the first year of the nWo and couldn't get enough of it. Although I did find it weird to hear the WCW faithful cheer fr the WWF guys and chant their WWF names.

What killed WCW? Well, when AOL and Time Warner got in bed with each other they got rid of MANY assets, companies and sporting teams. WCW was just one of many victims of the merger. A merger commonly regarded as being one of the biggest fuck ups in corporate history. In 2001, AOL completed its $164bn acquisition of Time Warner, but it soon led to massive write downs. Time Warner soon realised that the merger was not in its best interests, leading to a loss of $99bn in 2002.

I didn't need to insert any criticism of Nash, nor did I feel the need to list his shoe size. It's irrelevant to the discussion at hand. I wasn't writing a love letter for the man. But the logic you are baseing that view on is a bit like if someone said that Billy Gunn was a big part of DX's success. I do give Nash credit, but in many ways it was about right place, right time and in many ways it could have been anyone in that spot.

Also yes there were lots of factors why WCW is no longer around, Nash's clueless booking is just one small one.
