Playing it now, just finally got control of the entire party on the sanctum ship. I'm assuming disk 2 is almost done. In my other post I was trying to make a joke about the accents, obviously I failed :happy:

I'm enjoying it a lot. I don't get the hate. I've read most don't like that it's linear and not an open world to explore like 1-9. Like I said before, I like it better this way since I don't have as much time to explore/grind. I've only had to put in a couple of hours of grinding thus far to max out the crystalarium and I've just started disk 3. That final boss to end disk 2 was a pain in the balls, lol. Amazing though.

You guys played Lost Odyssey? I thought it was comparable to the FF games. Put out by Microsoft though. It had it's annoying moments. But beautiful graphics. And 4 discs on 360! I enjoyed it a lot

Never played that one, but there awere a fair few ps1/2 games that were similar to FF (not quite as good overall), Grandia, Legend of the Dragoon, Koudelka, Shadow Hearts, SMT Nocturn/Lucifers Call, etc

PS1 was one of the best systems ever for RPGs... I loved Wild Arms, Alundra 1 & 2, Grandia, Dragon Warrior VII, Breath of Fire III & IV, Suikoden, Chrono Cross, SaGa Frontier, Granstream Saga.
Can you tell the PS1 is my all time favorite system? lol All those RPGs along with all the other classics!

I never played the franchise before since I'm not into RPG's but I started listening to the soundtracks a little while ago since I hear the music composed for Final Fantasy is supposed to be on par with other great movie-like soundtracks that series like Metal Gear Solid has produced, and I've found that the people who made that suggestion to me were right. I'm enjoying listening to the Final Fantasy X soundtrack right now:

I dread to think how much of my life has gone into these games. 7,8,9,10,12 were all great and remind me of Fri and Sat nights at my mates. Carrying round my TV, Playstation and a crate of beer and just hammering these games.
