Final Fantasy Thread!

I've played every final fantasy, even the mmo's. Not a big fan of the most recent one (lighting returns) but I was in love with Vanillie in the Original.

Vanille gets a lot of hate (so does 13 in general) but she'll always be my favorite character of the franchise. Did you know she was originally intended to be the main character of the game? Can't remember where I read it, but it's pretty obvious from how central she is to the narrative. The whole story revolves around her. Fang was also intended to be a male character, but they switched the gender for more tits I guess. You can tell they were designed to be a couple, the subtext is about as blatant as it gets. I never played XIII-2 or Lightning Returns. I was curious if Vanille would be in them, but they seemed to focus more on Hope, and I hate that little fucker. It's a shame the franchise appears to be going downhill, because they used to be some of the best games out there.

LMFAO fucking hope dude. I hated him so much too, lil whiney fucker. Vanillie is in 2, actually has a few speaking parts, but you never get control of her for very long. Obviously, she is frozen, but in that game you can go back in time and that's when you get to use her. Not that fun really, and I thought the original was an amazing experience. The story was great imo.

People tried to spin their relationship as sisterly. I just will never forget Feng returning to Vanllie and the FIRST thing she does is lift up her skirt. (Sure, she tries to brush it off by saying she wanted to know if the L'CIE branding had changed)

Gran Pulse is like the ruins, and Cocoon was a fortress that, without spoiling, what you're trying to save.. Did you play it?

Tactics was solid!
Tactics Advanced was a little weird but still had a decent story.

It is an absolutely beautiful movie in HD... so is Spirits Within... both are beautiful CGI work.

Most definitely.. look in the fighting games thread... I posted a pic of it in there... lol.. I am not sure why but I always loved playing as Tifa... they had Sephiroth, Cloud, and Tifa in the game of I remember right.... I loved it.

Playing it now, just finally got control of the entire party on the sanctum ship. I'm assuming disk 2 is almost done. In my other post I was trying to make a joke about the accents, obviously I failed :happy:
