so the issue is you don't like my joke? I understand it annoys you, but I'm not really sure that's enough of a reason for me to not have fun either if I'm being honest...
All I'm asking for is some originality (and just leaving WWE out of an AEW discussion for Christ sake) from one pal to another

Yeah it'd be out of the question in Chicago for sure lol but I think with a good heel performance from Punk afterwards it would be pretty easy even. I think of how the crowd boos the Elite so hard now since they turned heels despite the crowd obviously bring huge fans of Omega at least still lol

The most important part would be he'd have to go against someone over AS FUCK like Hangman tho. Maybe he could attack Jungle Boy too idk
100%

Hell let’s look at Bryan as an example. Dude was over as FUCK for the longest, yes chants were ridiculously loud. Then boom, dude became one of the top heels in the company and was getting his ass boo’ed so hard. If you’re good enough, you can get them boos no matter how loved you are

And Punk is a better heel I think most would agree too

Hey, I was just making a request. If invoking WWE is that fundamental to AEW discourse for you, feel free to continue. I can always just pop you on ignore because at times I feel you're just a step above Deezy in these AEW threads.

I made one joke, then continued on discourse about fickleness and other things man. Was just a joke as I said, sorry that it offended you or your friend, I'll try to do better :draper2

And if you look at my post history, you would know I talk about AEW and other promotions plenty without invoking WWE, so let's maybe ease off on things that aren't true either :draper2

If CM Punk showed up in AEW or anywhere for that matter, it would be the happiest I’ve been with modern wrestling in 5 years. I’d mark over and over and over.

It would be only thing I cared about for the following month most likely. It would be the one thing to get me to do my best to watch Dynamite weekly and live again.

AEW is already my favorite product, but apathy for modern wrestling and my sleep schedule prevents me from fully embracing my fandom, but Punk would fix it.

@Cicada come in here and mark out

I hope that was sufficient. It’s kind of hard to mark over a hypothetical and in front of overwhelming negative reception. It’s honestly bizarre to me when this guy was one of the most over guys in WWE history when he left.

I remember Punk's run being pretty polarizing on here tbh :lol I was all on his side but every thread about Punk and Bryan during that time would just be pages of arguments lol

Yeah, there’s always been those IWC vs Casuals fights or Smarks vs anti-Smarks, but it seems to me even the IWC or Smarks, the people for Punk during that time has also turned on him. Punk will get the casual pops, though, for sure. If he did come back it’ll be interesting.

Apparently I've turned on him by being indifferent and not hype enough so I'll see myself out
