Like seriously I’d probably say Kevin Nash vs. Goldberg at bash the beach 2000 is probably in my top 25 favorite matches. And people say that Nash and Goldberg can’t “wrestle.” Just give me time for a story.

I’m a fan of both story and workrate. Like if a match has a good story going into it, I would love it, and if it’s a great match I love it. The moments you get both :owens3 those are special

If Goldie could do it, I be down. But yeah he’s not capable of it anymore :bosque so I don’t think it’s gonna happen.

This is where I’m at. We’ve seen how many AEW shows in Chicago? And remember that show we knew a big name would debut and it was Jon Moxley? Or Big Show? Or Mark Henry? Or Christian? I popped for Christian, though. Or even when Rush retired after debuting? That’s an all-time classic right there.

I want to hope, but I don’t know if my heart can.

I'm not gonna read back through the whole thing, so will just throw my initial thoughts on stuff in here.

Part of me finds this report super suspicious. Like AEW has pretty much kept everything they do super tight lipped to the points where no spoilers come out. Show and Henry were never speculated, same with Christian I think until Tony threw the hints out there. I don't think even Sting was leaked, just assumptions were made because of his stuff being pulled from wwe.com etc. Now with arguably their biggest signing, a higher up starts floating stuff out there? Odd. Either people are gonna get disappointed if he never shows up now or a genuine surprise has somewhat been ruined as people are gonna keep expecting it.

Would be interesting to see how he was used though. It's based on absolutely nothing but I feel like he would want the same deal that he basically hated other people getting in the WWE, get paid the big bucks to come and do angles at the top of the card here and there and taking away opportunities from the other guys who are there every week.

Then he should stay away. I like a good pop, but if he can’t do matches longer than 3 minutes, he shouldn’t be doing title matches in the main event.

I say this as someone that doesn’t care about work rate. I personally love Nash matches when the story told in the ring is a good one and he cares.

But we’ve seen any good story he can tell in 3 minutes.
I'm very concerned about Lashley if Goldberg is planning to try the Jackhammer against him. :worried

^ fwiw Sapp is reporting that this is coming from WWE executives or wtv , so there's a few weirdness to that part of it. Lots to speculate.

But then again, it is inded Sapp and he's been hitting a lot more than missing as of late and has a good relation with WWE so...I still think theis is the most smoke we've seen in a long time.

I’m hoping he’s not. If Lashley isn’t gonna get a competitive match, I’m hoping the plan is to establish Lashley with a squash over Goldberg.

Imagine if Lashley pins Goldberg after a quick spear?

you are pretty much right, if the sapp shit is to be believed. I watched part of the QA he had on twitter, and the guy he was with was basically saying over and over that Punk's main motivation and the main thing thats changed in aew is $$$$$$$

I don’t really want a part-time Punk, but if he had a deal like Brock’s where he worked at least 4 PPVs a year, that’s all of AEW’s main PPVs so no problem.

And then what maybe 13-20 Dynamites? I’d be happy.

Those three are my favorite pieces of 2013 WWE which is the best time WWE has ever been since 2001-2002.

i mean the chances of it happening are slim to none, especially on brock. but that would indeed change the game lol
