To all the guys who mentioned Patrice O'Neal, I wanna suck y'all's dick right now.

I don't watch too much stand up comedy, but other than O'Neal's work, I have enjoyed what I've seen so far from Dave Chappelle and Gabriel Iglesias.

United Scotland of Ambrose
Kevin Bridges, Frankie Boyle, Jimmy Carr, Stewart Francis and Reginald D Hunter as far as stand up goes atm.

Does Reg ever do any work in America, and is he as popular as he is over here?

Funny I just saw this thread today actually because my boyfriend showed me vids today of this stand up comic, Joe Rogan, (who is also a black belt in karate and is teaching the current world champ of UFC some moves) standing up to Carlos Mencia for constantly stealing material. Thought it was an interesting dilemma.

Stand-up comedy sucks. Anyone can read jokes written by people they are paying.

If I had to pick one then Sean Lock is OK.

What a moronic thing to say. The majority of good comedians write their own shit, and even without that stand up is extremely difficult to master. I would love to see you memorise an hours worth of material for ten thousand people and then perform it without pissing your pants.

My current faves are Bill Burr, Frankie Boyle, Jim Gaffigan and Louis CK. Russell Brand even getting mentioned for the GOAT has me in stitches.:dawg:
