SPOILERS!

WZ has learned from sources Cody Rhodes was injured tonight in a match for WWE's Main Event taped in Cleveland, Ohio.

Not much is known at this time other than Rhodes appeared to have sustained a significant injury to his right shoulder in a spot taking a back drop from Kane.

We're being told Rhodes was taken to the hospital but at the moment no more details are known in terms of injury severity or a recovery timetable.

This tag team was really working for him and Sandow so it will suck if the team has to be put on hold because of this so hope it's not as serious as they think.

Just hoping that if he has to stay away from the ring or something that they do so something with Sandow, perhaps have this as part of the storyline.

During a fierce WWE Tag Team Title Match against Team Hell No on WWE Main Event Wednesday night, Cody Rhodes sustained an injury in the ring at the hands of the monstrous Kane.

While battling The Big Red Monster, the second generation competitor took a hard fall, resulting in what WWE’s Dr. Sampson characterized as a concussion and a strained shoulder. Sampson stated further tests would be done in the coming days.

With just days to go before Survivor Series, Rhodes’ status for the pay-per-view is now in question. It is not yet known whether Rhodes, a member of Team Ziggler, will be able to compete in the Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match against Team Foley.

Stay tuned to WWE.com for the very latest on Rhodes’ injury and status.
Hopefully it's a minor concussion and he's not pulled from the PPV.

Jesus Christ I hope this is not the end of Rhodes Scholars. They're a breath of fresh air...

How many more times is this elimination tag match going to change before Survivor Series?

Asides from maybe bringing Brock back early, I dont see many real good choices for a replacement.

This could be a spoiler, although right now it's just a rumor.

It's said that they plan on having Tensai fill Rhodes spot if he is unable to compete.

Pity that Rhodes got injured as I like the Rhodes Scholars team. Hopefully this is just something minor that doesn't require him to miss the PPV, since it is an elimination match he can be protected quite easily. In saying that no point taking a chance with an injured wrestler and I wouldn't mind Tensai replacing him, would give Kofi someone big to eliminate.

lol why on earth would they have Tensai replace him? That's such a terrible choice if it were true.

Please name a heel that is more over than Tensai that isn't already on the PPV card.

Here is an update on Rhodes;

pwinsider said:
Cody Rhodes posted the following on his twitter:

"MRI results...Torn trapezius grade 2. Torn deltoid grade 1. Separated shoulder. No surgery needed. Won't stop us."

So, it would appear he is cleared for the Survivor Series PPV.
Rhodes also wrote he is, "In debt to @TedDiBiase for packing my bag that night, and @TheDamienSandow for refusing to tag me in after I got hurt...protected my career."

Holy crap that is a bad list of injuries, would be amazed if he works through it even if he is wrestling in a ten man match.

I wouldn't say Tensai was over either and I actually like the guy. The thing that Tensai has over most of the other guys is that despite his horrendous booking, because of his size and intimidating look, he can always be put over as a credible threat.

How is Tensai over? I don't think I've really seen a crowd care about him in a while.

You didn't answer my question, which heel would be a better choice than Tensai? I looked at the roster and he seemed like easily the next best choice.

Could have been pretty easy really, just put Cesaro in. Instead of having a filler US title match just put him in.
