It is Bateman

The ETHAN character that TNA has been running vignettes for the last few weeks is former WWE NXT talent Derrick Bateman, real name Michael Hutter, who had a tryout a few weeks back and has been signed to the promotion.

As we've noted a few times here on the site, the word has been there are new talents the company will be bringing in. Hutter is the first example.

I didn't even know Bateman was released. I actually kinda' liked the guy but I give him .04% chance to succeed here.

He might just be able to pull this off, I'm more optimistic after seeing the video than I was when I just heard who was playing 'Ethan'

TNA signs an actual wrestler who is pretty good in the ring? Not just an MMA no body or a flippy spot monkey for the X Division? I'm actually surprised. I'll have to check it what he can do there. Always liked him in NXT.

I'm glad he's given a full name rather than just a first name, makes him stand out more in the roster imo.

So is he Dixie Carters nephew or something? Could play a spoiled promoters nephew or even kid and get some decent heat from it. I liked Derrick Bateman in WWE, thought he could've been a good comedic character on the main roster, hopefully he can do something good in this company. Got to know this isn't going to be a serious character though.
