Knockouts tag champion Eric Young posted the following message on Twitter this morning:

"TNA Live shows in MI and Windsor Canada. Ill be there could be my last live shows with TNA come and get crazy with me!"

I don't think he's been on Impact for a while. He and ODB still miraculously have the Knockout Tag Titles (not that they mean anything anymore) and he's now got his own show on Animal Planet. Perhaps his contract is coming to an end and he doesn't feel wanted anymore.

He has been repackenged so many times now and it seems finally they have run out of ideas for him.

I like the guys work ethic and always found him solid, but he was never anymore than a midcard novity act. No great loss for TNA.

He was TNA's version of Stevie Richards, he was given nothing and made it work.

Worse thing he ever did was get over in TNA.

EY deserves much better, but this doesn't really surprise me after how he's been used lately.

Its a shame, he has talent and most importantly he's over but TNA never seemed to have any desire to really push him. They got it into their heads that he's just a comedy guy and have treated him as such. His stint leading the World Elite was great, ditched the comedy and became a serious wrestler for a few months but as soon as that ended TNA turned him back into their Santino.

Because he is a midcard comedy act. I am not sticking up for TNA really, and it is partly their fault, for example the super Eric stuff was terrible, then again he has always been too limted to make it big, and when you have been in a company for ten years and at his level then it is time to move on.

But TNA made him in to that midcard comedy act. All it takes to change that is a new gimmick, just look t Mark Henry being a midcarder at best for a decade then getting a WHC run out of nowhere and looking credible. Or Bradshaw going from a tag team guy to the best WHC Champion in WWE history in the span of a coupel of months.

Guess thats a fair point, only that comedy or otherwise he just doesn't strike me as someone who could really advance above the midcard level. He's solid, but not much else.

Eric Young not in TNA anymore? 3rd smartest thing TNA has done if this true behind Roode getting a long title reign and Joe getting a push. Eric Young is flat out awful, nicest way I can say it.

I loved Eric Young a few years ago and still find him entertaining but he's never getting higher on the card so not a big deal if he leaves. "Don't Fire Eric" storyline was gold though.

I'm gonna have to check out his show on Animal Planet before I decide on this. What show exactly is that he's the host of?
