We open the show with footage of SHAZARIAN beating up Doug Hammond and 3LK before the show. Oh no, please don't make this a feud.

Christopher Daniels joins commentary for the first match, and Tenay announces he will face Sabin next week for the last spot in the UX match at Final Resolution.

Match#1 AJ Styles vs Chris Candido
Hell yeah, no gimmicks needed is here. Also, it's sad as shit it ends with his death in 4 months, but we get to at least enjoy his last run. Awesome 5 minute match with both matching up really well. Chris does his stalling and stooging, so AJ gets pissed and beats his ass as soon as he can it and turns into a great back and forth. Daniels says he knows how to avoid the Styles Clash unlike everyone else in the division. Chris gets a short control seg and hits a wicked deadlift brainbuster that crumples AJ in half. AJ mounts his comeback and runs through him with a ton of fire and fury. AJ wins with the Clash.
**3/4

In a pre-tape, JB and Shane run down all the end of year award winners. AJ won pretty much everything as he should have.

In the carpark. Trinity makes Traci & Johnny Fairplay get into Dusty's truck so she can read a letter. It says they need to learn how to play the game if they want to stay. Ugh, fuck no

Match#2 Petey Williams w/Scott D'Amore vs Andy Douglas w/Chase Stevens
Dusty running heel vs heel is an odd choice, but whatever i guess. Both men cheat a lot with eye pokes and choking, and it's better than letting Petey lead a match without a superworker to guide him. Petey wins with a rollup after he grabs the tights.
3/4*

Hype video for Nash/Monty/DDP

In the back, Shane is with AMW. Harris says they ended the saga with XXX, and now the focus is on Team Canada and getting the titles back. Storm says others have tried and failed to take them out, and TC will need to bring their A game. It'll be a fight and they'll win it.

Match#3 Chris Sabin vs Bobby Roode w/Scott D'Amore.
Oh, yeah!!! Super fun 3 minute sprint with the classic speed vs power story being told. Daniels gives Sabin props for all his talent, but says it won't be enough come next week. Bobby takes over after a hot shot and beats his ass, and his growth over the last few months continues. Sabin fights back, but D'Amore distracts the ref and Daniels distracts Sabin, which allows Roode to hit the Lariat to steal one.
**1/2

Match#4 Konnan w/3LK vs David Young.

Horrrrrrible, so bloody horrible.
1/2(*)poop

In the back, DDP and Raven confront each other as this feud is still a thing despite DDP moving onto the world title. DDP says Raven called Erik's wife that they were screwing around on the road and it cost him his job. Raven laughs and says he never liked Watts anyway, and he got what he had coming to him. Erik walks over from behind and spins him around and they brawl. They fight to the ring and Watts take him out with a trash can as DDP watches on. DDP gets in and hugs Watts, so i guess they're pals again??????? I have no clue.

TRYTAN IS COMING TO TNA.

In the ring, Mike brings out Double J for his first promo time of 2005. The reign of terror will end in October 2006, and that's the only thing keeping me sane whenever he shows up. Tenay covers all the 3 challengers that Jeff might have to face in the main event, and he says the thought of him vs Nash would be sweet. Jeff says none of that matters as he's still reigning supreme as the KOTM. Page is too caught up in his school girl games to focus on the title. Monty is still a AA ball player trying to play in the major leagues after he already ate him alive. He looks down the barrell of the camera and says the Kings will not fall to Dusty's games, and they'll be doing things HIS way. He tells Nash to get his head straight. Um, maybe you should show some of this conflict instead of alluding to it. DDP and Monty both come out and brawl with Jeff. Monty botches some punches and looks really bad, sadly. The Outsiders come out and take them out as Jeff joins in. Jarrett hits Hall by accident, so Nash gets in face and looks to punch him, but Monty shoves Jeff into him and they fall out of the ring. Blackshirts break up Page and Monty. Bad stuff. Next few months before the peak are going to be hard.

Match#5 Dustin Rhodes & Jeff Hardy vs Kid Kssh & Dallas
Just in case you didn't know Dusty is the head booker, this should make it as clear as possible as all his boys are in this. Nero is still a sloppy mess, and Dallas mostly sucks, but the other two are really good and hold up their ends of this. Tenay announces Dustin/Kash at the PPV, which sounds radical. He also announces Raven/Watts, which is not radical at all. Nero has a bad hot tag and beats Dallas with the Swanton.
*3/4

In the back, Blackshirts are holding Jeff and Nash apart. Jeff shouts that Nash has ruined wrestling for 10 years and he won't ruin his world. Nash tells him he's going to pay for what he's done. Guess the Kings are dead.

Recap of the world title shenanigans of last week.

Tonight; Sabin vs Daniels for the last spot in UX.

Match#1 Eric Young w/Scott D'Amore vs James Storm
EY takes the best Flair/Race corner bump of his life as he flies over it and takes a nasty, nasty bump when he lands on the ground and apron. Storm's flurry is wonderful as he beats the shit out of him, and it's so cool to see EY finally get some singles time to show what he can do. D'Amore trips Storm to let EY take over and the control seg is really fun despite being too short because of TNA's time limit. The ref is bumped and Storm takes out D'Amore, but EY gets the stick and brains James to steal it.
**1/2

Hype for Kash/Dustin.

Match#2 Dustin Rhodes vs Chris Candido
Holy shit, what a dream match. Of course that means it gets two minutes and change. Still, wicked offence from both, and Chris takes some wild bumps on everything. Dustin wins with the Bulldog.
*1/2

TRYTAN IS COMING TO TNA

Match#3 AJ Styles vs Cassidy Riley
Awesome AJ showcase against a broomstick that he can throw and beat around for a while. 2005 AJ is the moment he hits his peak after already being THAT good, and it's a scary thing to actually watch him become even better. AJ gives him some offence and bends himself in half on a surfboard, and it's a gnarly thing to see. AJ fights back and beats the fuck out of him and wins with an absolute motherfucker of a Stlyn' DDT in a cool mixup for him.
**1/2

In the back, Raven ambushes Watts and kills him with a trash can shot and says he has him wrapped around his fingers.

In a pre-tape, Hammond interviews the 3 possible challengers for the world title. DDP says he's here to deal with Raven and win the NWA world title. He's been a fan since he was a kid, and he wants to be on the same list as the greats. Monty says Nash is going to catch the Pounce if he's not careful. He lives this and it's not a joke to him, no matter what these funny guys think and say. Nash says he's here for the money (COME UP WITH A NEW LINE, YOU ASSHOLE). Jarrett interrupts and talks shit to Nash, and they have to be held back again.

In the carpark, Traci, Trinity and Fairplay are still searching for clues, and they find one that says the game will continue at the PPV. Get fucked.

Match#4 Elix Skipper vs David Young
Two real diamonds in the rough square off. Good showcase for Skipper, but it speaks to LOLTNA that they aren't promoting the hell out of him after the Cage Walk. POD ends it.
*3/4

In the back, Team Canada cut the same old promo about being the best and having all the gold. Really need some new lines for a lot of these wrestlers.

Match#5 Chris Sabin vs Christopher Daniels (For the last spot in Ultimate X)
Really cool feeling out to start before Sabin can't help himself and hits a dive and turns into one of those matches. We come back from the break and Daniels catches him into the STO to turn the tide, and the control seg is awesome. Daniels like AJ, is already great but there's something about 2005 that turns them into all time freaks of the game. He targets the neck and everything is crisp and mean as hell, and we get some fantastic Sabin bumps and selling. Daniels keeps cutting him off in more and more violent ways like when he counters a rana into a nasty Liger Bomb. He keeps on it and it's easily the best start and justification for the push he's about to get. Sabin mounts a wonderful comeback with a ton of fire, all while selling his head and neck as he gets closer and closer to the win. Finishing run is great as they drop bombs and get super close to ending it with big counters. SABIN COUNTERS LAST RITES AND THEN THE WINGS INTO A CRADLE AND HOLDS ON FOR THE 3. FUCK YEAH HAIL SABIN

TNA FINAL RESOLUTION
JANUARY 16TH, 2005
IMPACT ZONE

Another really great hype video kicks us off. TNA will become the best at this for the next few years.

In the back, Shane enters JJ's lockeroom and asks him about the 3 way, and Jeff repeats the same points as his last promo on Impact.

Match#1 Christopher Daniels & SHAZARIAN w/Traci vs 3 Live Kru
Criminal waste of Daniels (won't be the last time i write that, sadly) and even our boys deserve better than making these fuckheads look good on PPV before eating the pin. Truth rules as always and the matchups with the heels are great, but fuck me BG and Konnan are so bad and should be outright dragged out of the Zone and barred from ever getting back in. Shane loses to an assisted Sidekick
**

In the carpark, Traci, Trinity and Fairplay all get into the back of Dusty's pickup, and he says they need to find the clues and they'll become immune, but the loser is gone.

Match#2 Elix Skipper vs Sonjay Dutt
Hell yeah, why the fuck not. Really fun 10 minute X style sprint. Both dudes go nuts with their big shot on PPV for the first time in singles matches. SKIPPER CATCHES SONJAY ON THE TOP ROPE AND FUCKING DROPKICKS HIM TO THE FLOOR AND RAIL. HOLY SHIT, DUDE. Skipper beats his ass with a rad control seg of high spots and good work on the arm and back, and Sonjay actually sells it which is really nice of him. Sonajy's attempted comeback are killer as he drops big bombs and gets closer and closer to being back in it. Dutt hits a wicked Sunset bomb and makes the best comeback of his life all while selling the back. Skipper catches him out of nowhere with a hot shot and then the Air Raid Crash to win
***

In the back, Nash is hanging out with DDP. He says he's working smarter not harder and they should team up and get rid of Monty together, and then they can settle it like men. DDP laughs at trusting him, but Nash says he won't lay a hand on him and if does, then they can fight. DDP says he'll think about it.

Hype for Kash/Dustin.

Match#3 Kid Kash vs Dustin Rhodes
Awesome fight to start with a million of the best punches you'll ever see two wrestlers throw, and everyone should aspire to be like them. Kash fakes a knee injury and the ref goes over to JB to call the match off, AND KASH POPS UP AND PUNCHES DUSTIN IN THE DICK. AMAZING. His control seg is working on the knee and it's so good as the work is stellar, and Dustin's selling is classic Dustin Rhodes selling a limb like he's about to have it cut off. Kash beats the living fuck out of it and even hits a frog splash onto it to hurt it even more. Dustin makes a wonderful comeback on one leg as he punches the dogshit out of Kash for all his sins. They have a great finishing run and Dustin hits a flash Bulldog to win.
***

Hype video for the trash Raven/Watts feud. Still don't know what they're actually feuding over, or why i should give a shit. LOLTNA

Match#4 Raven vs Erik Watts
Raven is tasked with carrying Watts for 10 minutes in one of the biggest challenges near the end of his peak Raven has ever done, and it's ok. Watts is horrible as everyone not named Bill knows, but Raven mostly does well with guiding him. Decent brawl and some ok wrestling, and it could have be worse had anyone else been in there with Watts. DW spends the match plugging merch and losing his mind over everything, and it's why he's the best to ever do it. The crowd turns against Watts and cheers for Raven, which is funny as hell and for sure not what TNA wants but fuck them for doing this nonsense. Bad control work from Watts even with some killer Raven bumps on all the stuff. Bad finishing run where Watts botches the Chokeslam and has to do it again to pin Raven clean. Fuck you.
*3/4

Post match, Raven gets on the mic and says sorry for everything he's done to him. Watts ignores him and walks up the stage, so Raven runs up and hits him with a trash can to knock him off through a table.

Roddy Piper makes his way out to be the guest referee for Hall/Hardy. Once again letting these old fucks make money they no longer deserve.

Match#5 Jeff Hardy vs Scott Hall (Roddy Piper is the referee)
Hall is STILL fucking wearing the horrible Elvis gear and it's sad and lame, and i want to set myself on fire. Hardy is painted blue and green as a reminder we should hate him as well. This is very bad as both men are sloppy and lazy and drag the entire thing down as a result. After 5 bad minutes, Jeff wins with the Swanton. Moving on
1/2*

Post match, Nero gets on the mic and challenges JJ to fight him. Fuck no, go to hell. Abyss thankfully males his return and kills Nero with the Shock Treatment and BHS.

Match#6 Diamond Dallas Page vs Kevin Nash vs Monty Brown (#1 Contenders Elimination Match)
Had TNA had any sense this would have opened the show so the winner would have time to recover, or they could run an angle where JJ attacks the winner, but nah just throwing it out here with an 90 minutes left. DDP and Nash work together as they agreed to and we get some perfectly fine work on Monty from them. DDP turns on Nash and dropkicks him out of the ring to eliminate him, which was never mentioned before. Nash attacks DDP in revenge and throws him to Monty. Decent back and forth for a while and Monty looks pretty good after a few bad weeks, while DDP is washed as hell and brings nothing to it. Monty wins with the Pounce.
*1/2

Post match, they shake hands in a show of respect.

Hype for AMW/Canada.

Match#7 Bobby Roode & Eric Young (c) w/Scott D'Amore vs America's Most Wanted (NWA-TNA World Tag Team Championships)
Fuck yeah, massive brawl breaks out around the Zone to kick it off, and it's so, so good. Wild and fun and everything you could possibly want from dudes who hate each other. EY takes insane bumps for everything and proves himself as a complete lunatic worthy of our love. Roode is awesome as well as AMW beat his ass to a pulp, and it's classic AMW at their best. Storm is isolated after EY kicks him in the kidney, and TC's control seg is wonderful as they beat the fuck out of Storm. DW kills it again as he points out that AMW's opening flurry has drained them, and now they're not going to be able to fight back. Control focuses on Storm's ribs in a cool choice, and Roode leads the charge as his growth as the power man continues and he's fucking killing it every second. Great cut-offs from TC, before Harris has a fantastic hot tag finally being unleashed as he beats the crap out of them. It all breaks down (tm) and we get a ton of close calls and crazy moves with a white hot crowd. D'Amore gets involved again, SO AMW BREAK OUT THE HANDCUFFS AND CUFF WITH TO THE POSTS FOR UX. FUCK YES. The finishing run is awesome as hell as EY takes the lions share again. Devine gets in and hits Storm with the stick, but he fucking kicks out!!!! They keep fighting and Harris kicks out of a chair shot. EY goes to get the chair off Devine, but he accidentally gets clobbered and Storm rolls up EY to finally win the titles back. Fuck yeah.
***1/4

In the back, Traci and Trinity team up to beat the shit out of Fairplay. They grab the clue and meet Dusty, who tells them to find a tag team each who has never been in TNA and the winners team will becomes his assistant.

Match#8 Petey Williams (c) vs AJ Styles vs Chris Sabin (NWA-TNA X-Divison Championship. Ultimate X)
-The faces team up to beat up stupid little Petey for being alive and shit, and it's a lot of fun as they break out some cool double teams to kill him dead.
-AJ and Sabin fight and match up so well together with their speed and overall 2005 nuttiness.
-AJ hits a stunning dive over the top to crush them both (and himself) against the rail.
-AJ and Sabin fight on top and Sabin hits an insane dropkick right to AJ's face and knocks him off the top to the floor.
-D'amore gets involved, so the ref finally fucking kicks him out to end this shitty loser for once.
-Petey is mad and beats them both up in boring fashion as his weird hot streak finally ends.
-Sabin climbs on AJ shoulders and they fight, so Petey climbs on the wires and hits a crazy double rana.
-Petey climbs the wire and ends up upside down, SO AJ TRIES THE PF BUT PETEY LIFTS HIS HEAD UP AT THE LAST SECOND AND AJ EATS ALL THE SHIT ON THE MAT WHEN HE LANDS
-SABIN TOPS IT WHEN HE HITS A RANA OFF THE ROP ONTO AJ AND FURTHER KILLS HIM.
-AJ HITS A DOUBLE STLYN' DDT JUST TO DO IT.
-AJ CLIMBS UP AND THEN...
-
BPmQ3j.gif

-AJ STYLES IS THE BEST TO EVER DO IT
-AJ has a gross bruise on his inner thigh and it's such a cool thing to further add to the madness.
-Petey and AJ fight on the top ropes and Petey grabs AJ's arm and pulls it through the truss and smashes it against the steel, and AJ is left hanging on until he falls to the floor in another wild moment.
-Sabin climbs back up, but AJ comes to life and drags him back down with one arm and they fight like hell as AJ tries and tries to hook the Clash, and he finally deadlifts him with one fucking arm and hits it. Jesus Christ.
-AJ tries to climb it, but his arm gives and out and falls off into Petey's arms and he hits the Destroyer in the coolest one ever.
-Sabin kills Petey with a Buckle Bomb that folds the poor fuck in half.
-They come back to life and fight on top and unhook the belt and fight over it, BUT AJ JUMPS OFF THE OTHER SIDE AND KNOCKS THE TITLE FROM THEIR HANDS AND PICKS IT UP AS IT HITS THE MAT AND HE WINS THE MATCH AND HIS TITLE BACK.
****

The other two were amazing and added so much, but good lord AJ is on another level between the insane bumps and incredible selling that added to everything and put it over the top. Absolute classic, and a really scary thing when it's maybe not even going to be in the top 5 best matches of the year once it's all said and done.

In the back, JJ and Nash have more words and have to be held apart.

Match#9 Jeff Jarrett (c) vs Monty Brown (NWA-TNA Worlds Championship)
Pretty much the same as the last title match with the only difference being Monty being tired now and sort of selling it. It's not great or anything, but he's at least breathing heavy and stuff. Jeff does his thing and it's the same half-hearted not giving a shit stuff he's been doing for months and months, and a major factor as to why this is one of the worst reigns ever. They have a brawl around the Zone as Jeff might die if he tried something new and different, the boring fucking asshole. They fight back in the ring and it's a decent little match, but because neither man is really caring to do anything cool or new, it's not worth recapping or anyone seeking it out. All the nonsense hits with ref bumps, belt shots and a guitar to the dome. You know, the Jeff Jarrett experience. Jeff hits 3 strokes in a row to win as his way of protecting Monty, even though putting him over would have done more but you know the rules.

Not putting over Monty was one of the biggest TNA booking mistakes ever and I feel it put the company on a downward trajectory long-term. A sign that there wasn't any interest in putting over new guys

100%. He was more than ready to at least get the ball to for a couple of months to see how it went, not even trying is just bad business. Granted, what they do next is maybe even worse, but he was screwed either way.

TNA is now using pyro like WWE does, and it's a welcome and cool thing.

Tenay and West announce that there was a press conference today about who would challenge Jarrett for the title at the next PPV Against All Odds. We go to it and Tenay announces Kevin Nash has been the named the #1 contender for the title. He was out first in the match at the last show, so this makes no sense tbh. Jarrett cuts his "my world" promo and there is nothing new to note. Nash says the odds are against Jarrett because of all the times he's held a title, and he's the best wrestler ever just based on technique alone. DEAD. They take a photo for some hype pics. They talk more and it's really boring and doesn't make me want to see this at all. DDP shows up and calls Nash a queen to Jarrett's king in a really shitty moment. Nash and Jeff eventually shove each other as it ends. Bad segment.

Match#1 Christopher Daniels vs Buck Quartermain
The fans are 100% behind Daniels in a sweet moment. He kills Buck with some stuff and wins with the Last Rites in 50 seconds.
Gospel

Post match, Daniels gets the mic and says he's sick of the favouritism shown by Dusty, so he's talking to the protected poster boy directly, AJ Styles. He knows on his best day he could never, never, never beat him and that's why he's never given him a shot. AJ makes his way out and says he'd held every title in TNA and he won't back down from anyone, so he can a shot anytime and place he wants. Daniels jumps on it and challenges him to a ten minute non title challenge TONIGHT, and if he wins he gets a shot. Dusty comes out and makes the match for the main event. Fuck yes.

Match#2 Jeff Hardy vs Lex Lovett
Standard Nero squash from the green and blue painted zombie. Tenay announces it will be Nero vs Abyss at AAO in a Full Metal Mayhem match, which is TNA's TLC match. Jeff wins with the Swanton.
Modest

Post match, Abyss runs down and attacks Nero again with the BHS. He drags out a table and DW screams "HE'S GRABBING A TABLE. NOOOOOOO" Abyss press slams Nero through the table.

In the back, Shane is with AMW. Harris says these titles represent the best teams in the world and they welcome the hunt against anyone and everyone. Dallas and Kash walk on and say they've been shooting off about being 6 times champ, well and he and LANCE are two time champs and they're next at AAO. Guess Lance Hoyt is now here.

Match#3 The Naturals vs SHAZARIAN
Tenay announces the winners of this will be among the top contenders according to Dusty Rhodes. Well, winning should do that, so good for him. Nats work face again and do really well for themselves as young punks turned good. Good offence and selling for 3 minutes until Lance and Kash attack the Nats for the DQ.
3/4*

They take out the Nats and then attack SHAZARIAN as well. A big brawl breaks out and AMW get involved and fight them as well. Refs break it up. Nice to see some teams getting shine after two years of this being a trash heap.

Match#4 Raven vs Cassidy Riley
Awesome Raven squash as he's pissed as hell after losing to Watts, so poor Cassidy is murdered a million times as a result. Raven uses a sick Ankle Lock to twist the kids foot in half, and then kills him with the Evenflow to win.
**

POST MATCH, RAVEN SNAPS THE KIDS FINGERS. HE GETS A CHAIR BUT DUSTIN RHODES MAKES THE SAVE AND DRAGS THE KID FREE AS RAVEN SHOUTS AT HIM. GOD YES.

In the back, 3LK cut a terrible promo challenging Shazarian to fight BG and Jeff Hammond. No, fuck off.

Match#4 AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels (10 Minute Challenge)
YES. Wonderful feeling out to start with AJ now grabbing at holds tighter and meaner than ever before, and Daniels having to fight like hell to get free. AJ smokes him with the Dropkick, but Daniels catches an attempted dive and slams him back first into the guardrail to take over. Awesome control seg from Daniels as he targets the hurt back and does some of his best singles work in TNA thus far. Just super stiff and cool targeted work, and AJ sells amazingly well to really add to it as well. Daniels gets too focused on hurting him and not attempting to win, which allows AJ to make a sick comeback and unload hell onto him. Daniels pinballs himself and takes some wicked shots, and the chemistry these two have is crazy. The final minute is AJ trying to kill him as Daniels keeps rolling away from him. Daniels eventually rolls away just as the time expires and he wins.
***

Post match, Daniels gets the mic and demands his rightful title shot at the PPV. Dusty comes out and makes the match a THIRTY MINUTE IRON MATCH FOR THE TITLE. HOLY SHIT YES.

Match#1 Kid Kash & Lance Hoyt vs Chris Sabin & Jeff Hardy

Sabin is now given AJ's role as the star to carry this goof for a few minutes so no one realises how cooked he is. He has a killer run of offence before he's isolated and beaten down. Lance is mostly still bad, but Kash is awesome and matches up super well with Sabin. Abyss shows up and attacks Nero and they brawl off out of site. Back in the ring, Kash beats Sabin with the Moneymaker
**

In the back, DDP confronts the Outsiders about the PPV and all that lame shit. They yell at each but it doesn't lead to a fight. thankfully.

Match#2 Chris Candido vs Sonny Siaki
Super fun CC showcase as he seems 100% with his offence and bumping, and he also does everything he can to make Sonny look good for the first time in his career. Chris rolls through a crossbody and gets the pin with his feet on the ropes.
**

In the back of Dusty's truck, the girl promise him they've both found big teams to fight for them.

Match#3 Monty Brown vs Johnny Devine w/Scott D'Amore
Good Monty squash as he's angry and stuff, but it's also not what he should be doing after losing to Jarrett. Monty takes out TC when they get involved, and EY takes a nutty bump off the Pounce. Devine eats another one to lose.
*3/4

Post match, Scott Hall runs down and attacks Monty with the help of TC. DDP comes out and clears the ring. Super weird and lame fall from grace for Monty.

In the ring, Tenay brings out Jeff Jarrett for some much needed promo time. Same fucking points as the press conference, and the lone highlight is the fans finally turning on him and chanting BORING.

in the back, Shane is with AJ Styles. AJ is happy because he knew this match was going to happen at some point, and he knows how good Daniels is. You don't become a ring general by winning matches, you do it by surviving them. It what he does time and time again, and he's going to give his blood sweat and tears. He wonders if Daniels can survive this.

Cassidy & Watts come out for a match with both men being badly hurt from the last few weeks, so Dustin Rhodes shows up to take Watts' place.

Match#4 Dustin Rhodes & Cassidy Riley vs The Naturals.
Nats are now back to being heel because TNA is odd to say the least. Cassidy's fingers are broken, so the Nats target them and it rules a ton watching these little pricks beat someone up. Raven shows up and fight Dustin, as the Nats beat Cassidy with Natural Selection.
*3/4

Post match, Raven laughs at Dustin being a loser.

Match#5 Elix Skipper & SHAZARIAN vs 3 Live Kru
Fine enough 6 minutes from the heels and Truth working their asses off to cover for the other two jokers. Good control seg on Killings for a while, but it sadly leads to a terrible BG hot tag as he's the one getting a PPV match for some hideous reason. Shane thankfully gets BG with a Flying Elbow as he covers Kaz, and then Kaz covers to steal it
*3/4

Post match, the Nascar fuckhead gets in the ring and rips his shirt off and challenges the heels to fight him. Fuck that.Once again, even when TNA is great, they just can't help but shoot themselves in the face as hard as possible. LOLTNA

Christopher Daniels is on commentary again.

Match#1 Petey Williams w/Scott D'Amore vs Shark Boy
Shell yeah. Not a squash for Petey, as Sharky gets a ton of offence and beats Petey's ass for long points in this. Petey bumps huge as his streak continues. He fights back and wins with the Destroyer.
**

In the back, Dustin and Cassidy are hanging out when Raven walks on and asks if they're having a slumber party. He says breaking his fingers was an accident, but he should imagine his scrotum and his hand on the handle, AND DUSTIN SHOUTS "WELL, SHUCKY DUCKY QUACK QUACK, IMAGINE MY FOOT UP YOUR ASS" AMAZING. Raven walks off as Dustin tells the kid he wants him to protect himself from guys like that.

Match#2 AJ Styles vs Buck Quartermain
Daniels is still on commentary, and he takes credit for AJ's career because of their match in 2001 at the NWA 53rd Anniversary putting AJ on the map. Amazing thing to bring up. This is a killer AJ squash as he bashes the dogshit out of Buck now that he can see Daniels is watching him, so he has to make an example of him. AJ breaks out all his big stuff and murders him dead with the Clash all while staring down Daniels.
**3/4

Post match, AJ gets the mic and says Daniels is scouting him from there, and he should get in the ring so he can show him who the real champ is. Daniels calls him a spoiled brat who been handed everything for the last 3 years all while ducking him, so he can wait for the PPV. AJ calls bullshit and says he's never ducked any man and he's going to shut his mouth.

TRYTAN IS STILL COMING TO TNA

In Dusty's truck, he makes the tag match for the PPV pre show. Showing a lot of faith in this story aren't you, you fucking bastard.

Match#3 Jeff Hardy vs David Young
Best Nero squash thus far thanks to DY being amazing. Great stuff from him as he reminds everyone he's a stud, and he manages to actually make Nero sell and give a shit. A true hero of the people. Nero wins with the Swanton
**

Post match Abyss comes out again, BUT JEFF DIVES OFF A CHAIR AND LANDS ON HIM. FUCK YEAH. They have a fun brawl in the crowd before the camera cuts away.

In the back, SHAZARIAN convince DY to fight Jeff Hammond next week. Stop it right now.

Match#4 Abyss vs Lex Lovett
Abyss wins in a minute with his two sick finishers.
CLICK DOOMSDAY

Post match, he tries to put the kid through a table but Nero makes the save!! They fight and Nero DDT's him through it.

In the back, Shane is sitting down as Kevin Nash is getting a massage. Dudes rock. Jarrett storms in and tries to hit him with a guitar, but Nash senses it and rolls out of the way in time. He stands up in his just his underwear and chases after him.

Match#5 Monty Brown & Diamond Dallas Page vs The Naturals
Not very good sadly as the faces don't mesh all that well together, plus DDP is washed which doesn't help matters either. The Nats try their best but this is an uphill battle very few people could win, and this is not their night. Monty wins with the Pounce as DDP hits the other with the Cutter.
3/4*

To close the show, Nash slowly walks up to Jarrett's locker room wearing a towel.

In the carpark, Dusty announces that if Jeff Jarrett uses the guitar at the PPV, he will lose the title. Baw Gawd.

Match#1 Sonny Siaki vs Johnny Devine w/Scott D'Amore
Why??? Really bad and in no way should be on TV, or even a dark match tbh. Both men are bad wrestlers in every aspect of the game, and this is no exception. Devine wins with his feet on the ropes for a pin
Poop

In the back, Monty hypes a tag match against Roode and Scott Hall, but Hall has quit TNA and that's not happening ever. So, we will not be waisting our time.

Match#2 Diamond Dallas Page vs Chris Candido
Hell yeah. CC fears no man and rushes him and hits some sweet power moves to show size doesn't mean jack shit. Sadly, DDP fights back and hits the super Diamond Cutter off the top to win.
*1/2

Post match, Roode & D'Amore come out and talk shit about how they and Hall will destroy him, but that's not happening. Team Canada come out in full, but Monty runs out from the other side and stands by DDP's side.

Hype for Abyss/Nero

TYRTAN IS TNA BOUND AND HE'S HERE FOR A LONG TIME, I SWEAR.

Match#3 David Young w/Shazarian vs Jeff Hammond w/3LK
God fucking damn it, TNA. Nascar fuck works in a jean and t-shirt and looks terrible. DY pulls all his stuff as not to hurt this bitch, but like why get in the ring if you aren't going to take a shot. Lots of stupid stuff happens and BG sneaks in and hits DY with a Pump Handle and then i swear to god i am not making this up, Jeff runs around the ring with his hands motioning like he's holding a steering wheel and then he hits the worst elbow drop ever to win.
LOLFUCKINGTNA

In the back, Trinity gets out of the back of the truck and kisses Dusty on the cheek as she fixes her top and says people call him an old man. regutvbhsejzirwsfrgjtrfdrszx EWWWWWW.

AJ sits at commentary and starts to hype the PPV, but Daniels storms out and yells at him for stealing his spot time and time again, AND HE SLAPS HIM AND THEY HAVE AN INCREDIBLE PULL APART. FUCK YEAH.

Match#4 Elix Skipper vs Shark Boy vs Chris Sabin
Fun little sprint for the fellas to showcase the division after that sick angle. Shark Boy hits Sabin with the Dead Sea Drop, and Elix steals the pin for the win.
*3/4

Tenay conducts a face to face with Nash and Jarret, and it's the same damn things being said for 5 minutes. I can't, i'm sorry.

Match#5 America's Most Wanted & Dustin Rhodes vs Raven, Lance Hoyt & Kid Kash
Hell Yeah. Love all these feuds being bought together on the go home show. Would have ruled if got build to the actual match, but fuck it. Awesome opening as always and AMW look so good against new wrestlers. Harris is isolated during the break and we get a short control seg lead by Kash, who is still killing it every week. Dustin and Raven have tandom hot tag and beat the shit out of each other as the other fight on the outside. Dustin hits a flash bulldog to win.

Another sick as hell PPV intro for a show i mostly don't want to see, which is exactly what they're meant to do.

In the back, Larry leaves Jeff Jarrett's locker room and says Jeff is trying to sue TNA so he can use the guitar. More than fair.

Match#1 Petey Williams w/Scott D'Amore vs Elix Skipper
Not sure why this isn't Petey/Sabin given they were in UX, but TNA not using Sabin correctly is their thing. This is a perfectly ok 7 minute match with Skipper doing his best to remind everyone how good he is, and Petey doing Petey things aka a blend of stupid shit and some fun stuff. Skipper shockingly blocks the CD into an Air-Raid-Crash for the upset.
*3/4

Hype for Shazarian/3LK

Match#2 SHAZARIAN vs BG James & Jeff Hammond
Horrendous beyond words. Got me feeling bad for SHAZARIAN after all their hard work to become good, and then they get fed to this complete nonsense. Faces win and we move the fuck on.
LOLTNA

In the carpark, Jarrett's lawyer walks over and says there is no proof that Jeff has ever used the guitar other than to relax before a match, and the ban must be overturned. Dusty refuses to do it.

Hype for Raven/Dustin

Match#3 Raven vs Dustin Rhodes
Big brawl to start and we get a million wonderful right hands and knees, and just kick ass pro wrestling. Raven chop-blocks the bad knee and goes to work with a fun control seg. He's not as crazed as he was last year when he was working the arm every week, but it's super solid. Dustin's selling rocks again and adds SO much to it. Dustin makes a great comeback and it turns into a slugfest with both men selling the battle really well. Raven gets a rollup with his feet on the ropes to steal it
**3/4

Post match, Raven attacks him and straps him into the straight jacket and bashes him over the head with a trash can for a while. Cassidy Riley tries to save but he eats the Evenflow for his troubles. Raven drops Dustin one last time before leaving.

TRYTAN IS COMING TO IMPACT THIS WEEK.

Hype for the tag title match.

Match#4 America's Most Wanted (c) vs Kid Kash & Lance Hoyt (NWA-TNA World Tag Team Championships)
AMW show why they're the best by changing up the opening of the match with some sick mat wrestling and a real battle for control, instead of just the wild brawling they normally do. Hoyt adds a new wrinkle as he's a big dude that can easily overpower them, so they do their best to keep Kash in ring. It doesn't work as Lance kills Storm with a lariat to isolate him, and we get a fun control seg thanks to Kash leading the charge with his wrestling and amazing shithead antics. Storm is again a tremendous face in peril, and it's crazy to think how good of a heel he's going to become in a few months. Storm gets his knees up on a frog splash to start his comeback, and Harris has a wild hot tag as always before it breaks down and they go nuts. Lots of close calls and bullshit being kicked out, before AMW manage to handcuff Kash to the ropes to finally get rid of him. They double team Lance and beat him with the Death Sentence
***

A limo arrives.

Hype for Nero/Abyss.

Match#5 Jeff Hardy vs Abyss (Full Metal Mayhem)
There are two contracts above the ring with "CONTRACT" written on them and Tenay explains that one of them is a title shot and the other is fake, so you can see where this is going. This is mostly a slow plodding brawl with some plunda for 16 minutes. Nero looks better than he has in a while as he's not botching much, and Abyss is perfectly ok in this role as monster against in theory crazy daredevil babyface. Jeff tries his famous leap frog spot and the ladder he lands on doesn't move and he crushes his spine in a gross moment. They fight on the stage and Jeff hits a Swanton off the top of the set to send Abyss through a table. Nero slowly crawls back to the ring and climbs up and grabs the contract, but baw gawd it's the fake one. Didn't see that coming. Abyss gets back up and throws Nero over the top ropes through some tables and then climbs up and gets the real one to win.
**

Match#6 Monty Brown & Diamond Dallas Page vs Eric Young & Bobby Roode w/Scott D'Amore
Not good at all, sadly. TC try their best but DDP is washed and Monty is a bad babyface in the wrong role after getting fucked over the last PPV. Just a bad thing all around. Faces win.
1/2*

Hype for AJ/Daniels

Match#7 AJ Styles (c) vs Christopher Daniels (NWA-TNA X-Division Championship. 30 Minute Ironman Match)
DW lists off all of AJ's accomplishments and then drops an all time line "Has it ever occurred to Daniels that AJ is just that good". Incredible battle on the mat to start with both men holding their own and can't get ahead, so AJ blinks first with the dropkick and turns into a brawl because fuck it, why not. AJ works the arm and grinds him down as he's doesn't need to actually win to win. he just needs not to lose. Daniels' selling is really good as he holds onto and it stops him from throwing anything for a while, and AJ is able to keep beating him down as a result. AJ is caught when he's on the apron and Daniels knocks him off into the rail and hurts his back and ribs. Daniels goes on the attack while selling his arm in transition in an amazing moment. Fantastic control seg on the ribs with strikes and holds to further hurt them, and AJ's selling isn't amazing, but it's fine enough as he holds them and never really forgets them. Daniels gets his knees up on a 450 and kills AJ with the Angel Wings to go 1-0. Daniels stays on the ribs and beats the shit out of AJ, who now sells like hell after all that abuse. The next 5 or so minutes is pure back and forth and it's really fucking good as AJ refuses to die and Daniels gets more and more desperate to stop him from coming back. AJ moves out of the way on BME and steals the Angel's Wings, but Daniels somehow survives it. AJ gets a flash rollup to finally even it up at the 24 minute mark. Daniels snaps and knocks him out of the ring and then smashes his head into the post to bust him open!!!. AJ gets a gusher and his concussion selling rules so much, and Daniels goes for the cut with sick right hands and headbutts it to really fuck him up. TNA shoots some amazing closeups on the cut and it's dripping down his face and onto the mat. With a minute left, Daniels gets AJ in the Koji-Clutch and we get an amazing closeup on a bloody and dying AJ as the clock closes out on 30 minutes.
images

JB announces it as a draw, but Daniels gets on the mic and demands sudden death as he's earned it and we need a winner, and Dusty walks out and makes it happen.Daniels gets back in and beats the shit out of a half dead AJ, but Styles will not die no matter what. Daniels puts him on the top rope and tries a rana, BUT AJ FLIPS HIM OFF AND JUMPS INTO A HURRICANRANA AND HOLDS ON WHEN THEY LANDS AND MUSCLES HIM INTO THE STYLES CLASH TO GET THE 3.
***1/2

One Hell of a first match in the series, and i can't wait to see how this is topped.

We go to the back where JJ yells at his lawyer for not getting done.

We come back to the ring and get an amazing double shot of AJ and Daniels slowly limping up their respective ramps as the crowd cheers for both men. Incredible thing to help put them both over, and if TNA was smarter this would be the world title match in a year, but sadly not.

Hype for Jarrett/Nash. Super lame attempt to make this feel like a big deal and it dies a death. Even more so after the two best wrestlers in the company, and maybe the world just stole the show and cemented their spots over these old fucks.

Match#8 Jeff Jarrett (c) vs Kevin Nash (NWA-TNA Worlds Heavyweight Championship)
This is 19 minutes in a horrible choice after a 30 minute ironman match, and even more so when it's Big Sexy and JJ in 2005 in a normal match. Not to say this with a gimmick would be good, but shortcuts might work better. In saying that, they still have a brawl around the Zone because original ideas are not allowed, and it reminds me of the story of Mick Foley giving Sting a list of stuff he thought they could do in their matches and Sting shouted "Finally someone with some new ideas around here". Jarrett is busted open as they fight around the place. Jarrett gets a case from underneath the ring and it's a cello.AMAZING. He beats him up with it and the case, and the ref never actually calls a DQ, which is some bullshit TNA nonsense. Jarrett works the knee and the work is good, and Nash actually sells it which is nice of him. The ref gets bumped and Nash swings Jeff's legs into the ref, and then Billy Gunn debuts and smacks Nash in the face with a chair, but he kicks out and makes that pointless as fuck and makes him look like a giant geek. I mean he is, but still lmao. Sean Waltman then returns and kills Jeff with a spin kick, Bronco Buster and the X-Factor, but hey Jeff kicks out of that because fuck X-Pac as well, i guess. BG James now shows up and stops Billy from hitting Nash with the title, and Nash takes out Gunn. Nash is then hit with a title shot but LOLTNA he kicks out of that as well. Nash kicks out of the Stroke as well, and guys if you wanted to see a million finishers killed off, boy do i have a match for you. Jeff kicks him in the balls and hits a second one to win. Fucking Christ.
LOLTNA

05947086c79b5397-600x338.png

Billy is now not only a useless former WWE dork placed into the top feud, but he's also wearing one of the worst shirts ever just to further cement what a lame asshole he is. No Introduction Needed, indeed.

During the PPV recap, DW names Billy Gunn "THE NEW AGE OUTLAW" TNA's creativity knows no bounds.

We see footage of JJ, Nash, Monty and DDP on a sportshow promoting the Superbowl. It breaks down and JJ smashes a guitar over DDP's head to start a bad feud.

Match#1 Ron Killings w/3LK vs Micheal Shane w/Kazarain
Tenay explains that over the next few weeks we will be getting X-Division shootout matches with the winners moving on to the Ultimate X challenge at Destination X on the 13th of March.

-First stage starts as a tag match.
-One man will be eliminated, and then it's a three way
-When it's down to just two men, it then becomes Ultimate X
This is a Good 4 minute back and forth opener, and a nice spot for Shane to find himself in after that trash feud he just got done with. Fun control seg from Shane before Truth makes his comeback and wins with the Axe-Kick to move on to the PPV
**

In the back, Daniels says AJ got lucky after he was left bloody and broken, but he will not dwell in the past. He shouldn't have to earn a spot for the match, but if he has to do it then do it he will because that title is his.

Match#2 The Naturals w/Chris Candido vs Lex Lovett & Buck Quatermain
Hell yeah, CC has joined the Nats as their new dad until he passes away in two months. Really solid showcase for the Nats as they're much more at home as ratfaced cheating shitheads with a dickhead manager by their sides. Natural Disaster does it after Candido causes a distraction to turn the tide.
**

In Dusty's truck, Dustin and AMW are searching for something and they eventually find a bullrope. Dustin pulls a contract and says to give it to his dad and make Raven sign it. Abyss then walks over and shoves the contract he won down the front of Traci's pants and grunts at her before he leaves. Ok, cool i guess.

Match#3 Phil Delta Slam w/Trinity vs Mikey Batts & Kid Romeo
OH FUCK NO. PDS are two gross fat fucks that suck in ring and are here as Trinity's chosen team, and i hate everything. One of them hits a splash off the top to win.
1/2*

Dusty Rhodes, Trinity and Traci makes their way out for a big announcement for the PPV. He makes Abyss/Nero in a falls count anywhere match for the PPV. Jarrett vs DDP for the world title after what happened earlier. DDP now comes out and looks like he's 300 years old, and it's really sad how badly he aged when was already old as fuck during his prime. He rambles for a while and the gist is he's here to become the NWA worlds champion as we already knew. JJ comes out for his my world stump speech, and the entire crowd turns on him even more than normal AND THEY CHANT DROP THE TITLE AT HIM. HOLY FUCK BRUTAL. They brawl and it's very bad as you can imagine. New Age Outlaw joins in as does Nash for a big fight. DDP lays out JJ with the Diamond Cutter. Horrible stuff.

AJ Styles joins commentary with a huge bandage over his head. He talks about the match and whatnot.

Match#4 Shark Boy vs Chris Candido vs Chris Sabin
Super rad 3 minute sprint with everyone going crazy in hopes of Dusty putting them in the match. Chris vs Chris is wonderful and it's a crime they never got a PPV match. Sabin locks Sharky into a reverse figure four, BUT CANDIDO JUMPS ON SHARKY AND STEALS THE PIN. HELL YEAH
**

Tenay announces Nash vs Outlaw in a no DQ match. Fuck

Match#5 Monty Brown vs Lance Hoyt
Super rough stuff for. few minutes. Both dudes look like they're walking through mud and throw bad strikes and the like, and it's fucking ugly as sin. The lights go out and Trytan shows up on the ramp and POINTS at Monty Brown before he vanishes in a huff of smoke.

IN THE BACK ABYSS ATTACKS NERO AND THROWS HIM ONTO TABLES, BUT JEFF FIGHTS BACK AND SMASHES A PLASTIC CHAIR OVER HIS HEAD AND SPEARS HIM ONTO MORE TABLES AS THEY BRAWL. FUCK YEAH

Match#1 America's Most Wanted & Dustin Rhodes vs Eric Young, Bobby Roode & Petey Williams
Two and half minutes because fuck me, i guess. We get some brief awesome shit but not enough to get on the board, sadly. Harris attacks everyone with the hockey stick, but Roode hits him with the Lariat to steal it
3/4*

In the back, Douglas is with Raven. He says he invented matches like this that has made the bullrope look like a girl scout meeting. He will give him the beating he should have gotten when he was a boy. Death by Raven is his only award, and he will set him free.

Match#2 Chris Sabin vs Cassidy Riley
Good showcase Sabin for a couple of minutes. Cassidy is nothing, but Sabin carries him through some stuff before winning with the Cradleshock
*3/4

Monty joins commentary.

Match#3 Kid Kash vs Buck Quartermain
Fine showcase for Kash as it's one of those episode, and i don't mind them full of squashes to change things up once and a while. Moneymaker does it
*3/4

Post match, the lights go back out and when they come on Trytan is pointing at Monty. This fucking sucks.

In the back, 3LK are talking when New Age Outlaw walks on and says he has some business for BG and BG only. BG agrees to it and walks off as Konnan looks pissed.

Match#4 Elix Skipper vs Chris Candido w/The Naturals
Now we're talking. 5 awesome minutes of CC being a shithead cheater, and Skipper bumping and working his ass off to fight off 3 men. CC's control is fun as he breaks out a old of rad stuff and really beats the shit out of Skipper. Elix fights back and wins with the Air-Raid Crash now dubbed Sudden Death.
**3/4

In a pre-tape, Tenay sits down with DDP. They talk about DDP yoga and all that stuff, and he's in full preacher mode and it sucks for a babyface to do this shit. Even if it's actually awesome and wonderful. DDP blames all the guitar shots on his career ending and costing him millions, so he wants his revenge by taking the title from him.

Match#5 Christopher Daniels & SHAZARIAN vs Sonny Siaki, Ron Killings & AJ Styles.
AJ and Daniels get right to it and it's sooooooo good and rad. He matches up well with the other two again, and really brings them up after a few bad weeks from them. Truth is isolated after the flurry and the control seg is very good as they beat the hell out of him, and Truth bumps like crazy. Sonny has a bad hot tag before it all breaks down and everyone goes off as always. Shane beats Sonny with the Superkick
**3/4

DDP comes out to the ring and Jarrett follows and they have an Impact Zone brawl for a while, and it's not very good at all. Nash and Outlaw fight down to the ring as well to close the show.

Dusty, Traci & Trinity come out to the stage and introduces the returning Apollo. OH JESUS FUCKING CHRIST NO. NOT AGAIN, YOU ASSHOLES. He cut s promo in Spanish for a while, and no one bothers to translate it in a real classic LOLTNA moment. Dusty tells Jarrett to meet him in the ring in 30 minutes because he is that close to having his title stripped from him by nights ends. Uhg, the fuck.

Match#1 Chris Sabin vs Michael Shane
After the last few weeks of wins by both men, this makes a lot of sense. Shane is trying really hard and matches up well with Sabin as always, and they go out and beat some ass for a while. Sabin counters the superkick into the Cradleshock to steal it
**1/2

We get a clip of Jarrett on a TV show where he hit someone with a guitar.

In the back, Monty cuts a very tame promo about eating and killing Trytan at the PPV.

Match#3 Chris Candido & The Naturals vs Elix Skipper, Petey Willams & Mikey Batts
Super fucking random matchup, but i'l take what i can get. The odd couple can't get along and keep getting in each others ways, and it lets the heels keep control and beat the hell out of them. CC kills Batts with a Diving Headbutt to win.
**

In the back of Dusty's truck, he talks some shit with his ladies about the PPV and whatnot. David Young walks on and asks for one more chance to show what he's got, the ladies make fun of him losing to Nascar guy. Dusty agree to give him one last shot next week.

Match#4 Dustin Rhodes vs Eric Young w/Scott D'Amore
Super fun Dustin showcase with all time bumper in EY dying on everything for him. AMW cut off TC, and Dustin wins with the Bulldog.
*3/4

In the ring, Dusty is standing by, and he makes JJ/DDP a lumberjack match. Well, that a bad stip, but whatever. DDP comes out and Dusty gives him a big speech about using his heart and desire to win the title. DDP does a terrible Dusty impression until JJ and Outlaw comes out to make shit a little worse. I assume WWE finally got around to suing them, and they changed the name. Jarrett says everything Dusty has tried to take the title off him hasn't worked, and this won't either. A big fight breaks out and it's horrrrrrrrrible. Nash shows up super late and a massive fight happens with all the lumberjacks in the ring. Hate this so much.

Christopher Daniels joins commentary

Match#5 AJ Styles (c) vs Kid Kash w/Lance Hoyt (NWA-TNA X-Division Championship)
One last time for the 2004 feud of the year. AJ takes his time and doesn't rush in because he's not pissed at Kash for once, and we get some sick mat wrestling and really great slow build to it all eventually breaking down. AJ hits dat dropkick right to the face, and anyone who thinks he doesn't have the best dropkick ever is a cop tbh. AJ works the arm and beats the hell out of him, but Kash kicks him in the ribs and Hoyt causes a distraction that lets Kash rana him to the floor and they have a killer back and forth. AJ leaps over the rail and hits a pele, but Kash catches him again and slams him rib first in the rails to take over. Kash has one last fantastic control seg with wicked shots and a ton of shit talking, and AJ's bumping is killer. AJ's attempted comebacks rule as he gets closer and closer and really fucks Kash up a little more each time. AJ finally does it when he hits a gross knee to the back and starts whipping ass with a gross brainbuster. Finishing run rocks with a ton of near falls and huge moments, and Daniels on commentary gets madder and madder at AJ not dying. AJ smacks his dick off Kash's head when Kash ducks too soon on the Stlyn' DDT, and it looks like it killed. AJ gets rid of Hoyt with a Forearm, and when Daniels punches him into the mouth and AJ falls back into Kash's arm, he counters the Moneymaker into a pin to keep the title.
***

Post match, Daniels is mad as hell

In the back, Abyss is throwing shit looking for Nero, but he can't find him. We then get a zoom out showing Nero sitting on top of something looking down on Abyss.

Holy shit, what a monster duo of my dreams. Awesome murder for a few minutes with a ton of gross bumps and killer moments. Abyss kills Cassidy with the BHS to win.
**

In the ring, Tenay brings out JJ for the weekly terrible segment that furthers this as one of the worst title reigns ever. He bitches about Dusty having a vendetta against him and demands this stop tonight. He talks about his history with DDP over the last few years, and then he comes out through the crowd. He cuts a terrible promo for a while and adds nothing new to this dreadful world we find ourselves in.

In the back, Michael Shane walks over to the truck and asks to speak to Dusty about being someone who lead TNA, and not someone from his era. The girls says they'll find him.

Tenay announces Skipper and Truth have been added to the UX match.

Match#3 Christopher Daniels vs Chris Sabin (Winner is the last man in the UX match)
Really cool to see this match again with the same stip on the line. Daniels is super pissed and wastes zero time rushing Sabin, and it's a fantastic beating for a while. Sabin catches him with a dropkick to the ribs off a springboard and it turns into a fun back and forth. Daniels holds onto the ref when Sabin gets him up for the Shock, and he spins back out and into the Last Rites to win the last spot.
**1/2

In the back, Konnan confronts Outlaw about last week. Konnan says he never liked him when he didn't know him, and he likes him less now. Gunn calls him short and a taco in another gross moment. BG and Truth break it up, and Konnan demands to know what they were talking about last week, and BG says it was just old times. Konnan fairly points out he could have done that in front of him, and BG doesn't have an answer.

Match#4 The Outlaw vs Sonny Siaki
Horrible stuff from this jackass, and Sonny isn't going to help change that when he's horrible himself. Bill wins with the Fameasser
KOTR 99

in the carpark, Dusty makes Outlaw vs Nash a first blood match for some terrible reason. At least the DQ could have lead to some fun moments, first blood is just a shitshow every time.

Match#5 Shark Boy vs David Young w/Chris Candido & Naturals
2 minutes of cheating and shark biting before DY finally wins a match with the Spinebuster
SHELL NO

Match#6 Apollo vs Lance Hoyt w/Kid Kash

Apollo is still completely terrible, but he's needed to help bring in LAX, so we must live through some shit to get us there. This would be some of that shit, if you didn't get my meaning. Apollo wins with a terrible stunner
LOLTNA

Post match, Trytan's music hits and Monty runs up to confront him, but Trytan is in the ring POINTING.

TNA DESTINATION X
MARCH 13TH, 2005
THE IMPACT ZONE

Third month in a row with a wonderful intro video. Can't wait for these to match the shows actually being good.

A1 makes his debut replacing an injured Johnny Devine.

Match#1 Team Canada w/Scott D'Amore vs America's Most Wanted, BG James & Konnan
Another fine 8 minute opener on a TNA PPV. 3LK is dogshit and add nothing, but the others are either great, solid or can be carried, so it about evens out. Harris misses a spear and hits the UX truss and hurts his arm, and TC take over with another super fun control seg. Good work on the arm by EY and Roode, and Harris sells very well to further help it. Konnan has a bad hot tag before the breaking down happens. Roode thankfully beats K-Dawg with the Lariat.
**

In the back, Johnny Fairplay shows up and is mad at Dusty for not hiring him, so he's going to do something about it. NO

Match#2 Chris Sabin vs Chase Stevens w/Andy Douglas & Chris Candido
Fine 5 minute showcase for Sabin, but it begs the question of why put him here when you could have put him in the UX match. TNA is at least pushing him which is amazing, but there are better uses of the man than this. He reverses a rollup into one of his own to win, so he can't even win with his finish on a lowcard tag goon. Fuck.
*

Post match, the heels attack him until Shocker from CMLL makes the save. Crowd is dead as they don't know who he is, and it's sad shit for the guy.

Match#3 Raven vs Dustin Rhodes (Texas Bullrope Match)
Two of the master don't waste any time bashing the fuck out of each other with the rope and cowbell, and you can't ask for more than that for 8 minutes. Raven throws him off the top with the rope around his neck and head and takes over and has a good control seg, and i can't wait for him to win the world title and get to do this in main events and feuds that aren't super quickly out together. He targets the neck in a nice change of pace, and he really goes for it and gets violent. Raven keeps kicking his ass, but Dustin hits a flash bulldog on the chair to win. Booooooooooooooo
**1/4

Post match, Team Canada attack Dustin until AMW make the save for him.

Hype for PDS/Harris Brothers. DIE

Match#4 Phi Delta Slam w/Trinity vs Harris Brothers w/Traci (Winning manger becomes Dusty's assistant)
One of the single worst matches TNA has ever put on, to the shock of no one. The fat fucks can't wrestler, and the skinheads sure as fuck can't either. To hell with this. Nazis win
LOLTNA

In the back, Dustin and AMW throw Fairplay out of the building for being alive

Match#5 Monty Brown vs Trytan
Trytan is a former red shirt security guy whose 7ft tall and can't wrestle a lick. Just a giant turd who botches everything he tries. Hell, the first thing he does is this
botchery.gif

He keeps being terrible and botching a ton, and poor Monty is stuck trying to save it when he's been pretty awful himself as of late. THE LIGHTS GO OFF AND WHEN THEY COME BACK ON A DUDE IN A GIMP SUIT IN THE RING AND IT'S MIDEON OF WWF FAME UNDER THE MASK. I SWEAR I'M NOT KIDDING. Monty beats him with the Pounce.
LOLFUCKINGTNA

Post match, Trytan POINTS at Monty.

in the back, DDP is doing yoga.

Hype for Nero/Abyss.

Match#6 Abyss vs Jeff Hardy (Falls Count Anywhere)
Nero is painted Pink and Red tonight, and i adore how much of a fuck he clearly doesn't give. Unlike most matches of this kind, these two fight in the crowd right away and throw each other into stuff and hit each other wth Plunda. After the last two matches it's a godsend of a thing, and really the type of stuff i've always loved as a fan. Do the weirdest and oddest stuff ever in strange places. and i'm there. Jeff climbs to the top of a steel support beam and hits a Swanton through a table and Abyss somehow kicks out, and DW loses his mind in another beautiful moment for the best to ever do it. They fight back to the ring and use some more plunda and Nero looks more at home than at any point in his run thus far. He breaks out his cool shit and does everything to down the beast, but the big man won't die easy. Jeff hits two nasty unprotected chair shots to head, and bless Abyss for not daring to get his hands up. Jeff finally hits his leapfrog over the ladder super clean and it's still a thing of beauty when he does it. They fight for a while and end up on top where Jeff takes a gross Powerbomb through a table and the back of his head smacks off a ladder sitting in front of it. Abyss stupidly pulls him back up and Jeff hits a TOF onto a ladder to steal it.
***

Post match, Abyss snaps and murders Nero with a BHS onto thumbtacks, and we get a gross closeup of them stuck in his back. That fucking rocked.

In the back, The fully formed Team Canada are very happy with their win and getting back on track. Fairplay walks on with a Canadian flag to suck up, but they tell him to go away.

Hype for Nash/Outlaw. They've done nothing but brawl maybe 3 times and it's now getting a fucking hype video. smh.

Match#8 The Outlaw vs Kevin Nash (First Blood)
Sadly, Rambo is not showing up to hunt them down in the woods with traps and telling them he'll give them a war they wouldn't believe after they kept fucking with him when he did nothing wrong. Instead, it's Kevin Nash vs Billy Gunn in 2005 in one of the worst gimmick matches possible for 11 minutes, It sucks, shockingly. Billy spends the match working Nash's infamous quad so he can't get back up, but like Billy Gunn doing limb work on Nash is silly because he sucks at it, and Nash doesn't sell if he's not paid extra. Billy hits him with a chair but it doesn't bust him open, so Nash has a super hard skull like he's the Super Shredder. The ref gets bumped as Nash busts Billy open with Snake Eyes on an exposed buckle, but Jarrett runs out and brains Nash with the title to bust him open. A guy comes out and cleans the blood off Outlaw's head as DW keeps shouting this isn't right in a very sad tone. The ref wakes up and declares Billy the winner.
1/2*

Post match, Nash attacks Outlaw and lays him out with a botched Jackknife where Nash falls on his ass as he hits it. Really sums it all up, folks.

Hype for the Ultimate X Challenge.

Match#9 AJ Styles (c) vs Christopher Daniels vs Elix Skipper vs Ron Killings (NWA-TNA X-Division Championship. Ultimate X Challenge)
As stated, it's in three stages and the tag is first. Skipper/AJ vs Truth/Daniels is the matchup, and it's fucking killer as they match up so well and remind everyone what the future should of TNA is and should always be if it was fair and just. Truth is finally uncorked after months of 3LK trash and breaks out all his big stuff and the fellas bump huge for him, and he returns the favour. Daniels refuses to fight AJ, so poor Truth is forced to stay in and AJ rock again as they did last year, but it's even better now that AJ has grown even more as a wrestler. Daniels finally gets in and he and AJ are amazing as hell together, and Skipper helps out Daniels when he knees AJ in the back to isolate him for his former best friend. Wonderful stuff from Daniels are he targets the neck with crossfaces and strikes and it's so smooth and mean, and AJ's selling is incredible. AJ gets some revenge when he helps Truth throw Skipper back in to Truth to get his ass beat. Truth hits a super Axe Kick, but Daniels saves Skipper, so Truth snaps and throws him out, AND AJ COMES OUT OF NOWHERE WITH A STUNNING RUNNING SUMMERSAULT FLIP ONTO HIM TO TAKE HIM OUT. Skipper kills Truth with Sudden Death to eliminate him, and we up to Stage Two, which is the three way dance. Tenay figures out that this is Daniels masterplan coming to life as now AJ is forced to fight XXX by himself. It fucking rules as he gets into a kick battle with Skipper and they murder each others ribs and drop each other, AND DANIELS CLIMBS UP THE TRUSS AND ACROSS THE ROPES OF UX TO THE MIDDLE AND HE DEADLIFTS HIM SELF UP ON TOP OF IT AND HE HITS THE BEST MOONSAULT EVER ONTO BOTH MEN. HOLY FUCKING SHIT. DW says it was perfect because Daniels had to know the other two would stop fighting and look up at him to work what he was doing, and then Daniels would kill them both. Skipper slowly gets back to his feet and he's pissed at Daniels for that, so Chris tries to make nice before turning on him! They finally fight and it's soooooo good as they know each so well, and have a series of sick counters and bash the shit out of each other when they get a shot. AJ takes out Skipper with the Forearm, and DW says he needs to write a book "2005 ways to beat a man because he's amazing" All 3 men fight on the top rope, AND SKIPPER JUMPS ON THE UX CABLES AND HITS ANOTHER INSANE RANA ONTO AJ TO DROP HIM ON HIS HEAD. XXX fight again and it's great, but AJ comes to life and HE HITS THE FUCKING FOSBURY FLOP OFF THE CABLES. HOW IN THE HELL DUDE. He unloads a beating on both of them and even after all that, he's still so crisp and perfect at everything. Skipper hits Sudden Death on AJ, but Daniels dives on Skipper and rolls him up with the tights to get rid of him. STAGE 3-ULTIMATE X FOR THE TITLE. AJ is hurt badly, so Daniels keeps climbing up which forces AJ to pull him back down and use more energy each time he does it. AJ breaks out the Pele right to the top of Daniels head and he has best KO sell of it ever. AJ climbs up the cable, but Daniels dives on him in a spear and ends up just dragging him down to the mat in a really nasty and cool moment to sell how badly both men are hurt. AJ climbs back up and kicks Daniels back into the truss and tries to climb away, BUT DANIELS JUMPS OFF WITH THE STO AND SLAMS AJ'S HEAD INTO THE MAT. GOOD LORD. They somehow get back up and Daniels targets the head with headbutts and smashes AJ's skull off the truss., and then pulls him off the cables by his feet and slams his face into the mat when he lands. They climb up again and fight on the middle and they fall off to the mat, they go again and fall off and land on the ref to knock him out. AJ gets up first and climbs up as Daniels is hurt and he grabs the title and drops down, BUT DANIELS KICKS HIM IN THE STOMACH AND HITS ANGELS WINGS AND FINALLY COLLAPSES AND DROPS THE TITLE ON HIS CHEST AS THE REF COMES TOO AND HE GIVES THE MATCH AND TITLE TO DANIELS. AMAZING BULLSHIT FINISH THAT IS THE PERFECT WAY TO DO IT
****1/2

An absolute incredible match and one of the single best displays of the crown jewell of TNA and why when it's the best, there is nothing in the world any better.

In the back, Fairplay recruits Buck and Lex as his new team. Fuck off.

Hype for Jarrett/DDP

Match#10 Jeff Jarrett (c) vs Diamond Dallas Page (NWA-TNA Worlds Heavyweight Championship. Lumberjack Match)
For the second month in a row, JJ main events over far better wrestlers who had a far better match, and then to make it worse he gets 21 fucking minutes to enhance the pain. Like, UX was 27 minutes and has rightly killed the crowd and any hype because it was perfect, and now these old jerkoffs are out here trying to work some big title match and it's a sad and pathetic joke. DDP is already sweating bullets before any action happens because he's a thousand years old and sucks, and Jarrett can't carry that. Sure as hell not in the midst of the worst title reign of his and the company's life. They have a brawl around the Zone because for the 1000000 time JJ can only work one style when someone like AJ or Raven isn't there to make him give a shit. Also, the Lumberjacks don't actually attack either man for being out of the ring as they're meant to, so that stip is even more useless. Jarrett works the knee and DDP doesn't sell it at all, so more useless crap being forced upon me. All the Lumberjacks fight and Candido is the highlight bumping his ass for Larry's wild punches. BG gets involved and steals the guitar like it's 1995, but he hits Konnan on accident when JJ moves and Truth is very angry at him. DDP then shoves the ref into JJ like a dumbass, and then Outlaw comes out and hits DDP with the Fameasser. DDP kicks out because finishers aren't real in main events anymore. Sean Waltman shows up again and takes out JJ and Outlaw like this is a bad episode of Raw. Well, that's insult to 99 actually. DDP takes out the Nats and Candido with Diamond Cutters and looks near death after it, and holy shit this sucks. He hits a super one on JJ, but Monty gets in and baw gawd he pounces DDP to turn heel and end his career once and for all as now he's JJ's big bitch who gave up the title for this fucking asshole. He drags JJ on top of DDP to end this trash.
LOLTNA

Tenay shouts that Monty has sold his soul over and over, and Monty hugs Jarrett like this is a massive moment and not a massive disaster that just ended Monty's run and ruined another main event. Fuck this
