The match would be great....but can you imagine the show they'd put on??? Amazing. Ziggler would have to go heel for this match in order for it to work.

DZ ain't goin' heel anytime soon, neither is Bryan.

And why is everyone so fixated on 'face vs face match would suuuuuuuuuck!!'? It could work if they do it properly, some of you are just overthinking it.

It depends on what the specific face vs face match is, and how much chemistry they share in that regard. Bryan and Ziggler as buddies-soon-to-be-opponents doesn't sound very enthralling. It also seems like one of those "well, we don't have anything else better for them to do, so let's just throw them against each another" type of deals. It's kinda sad that Bryan, Ambrose, and Ziggler - three of the top babyfaces in the company, mind you - don't appear to have any strong plans lined up for them heading into Wrestlemania.

You can book it a million ways. Of course if DZ comes out and is like "hey DB lets RASSLE at RASSLE MANIA" and DB is like "Yea cool buddy high five" that would suck. Is that really how you all are picturing this unfolding? jesus

Best case scenario in WWE's mind, both cats (DB & DZ) that WWE loves so dearly end up being in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Problem solved.:dawg:

That Battle Royal is a real piece of shit. Such a convenient way for WWE to leave a bunch of deserving talents out of meaningful matches. I guess you could say "Well they'd be off the card completely without" so whatever. But still, seeing how Cesaro was treated it certainly doesn't seem like an event that is going to lead to anything other than a wasted Mania. Just one time I want to see Ziggler in something that matters at Mania.

Well, yes. That sounds exactly how they would probably end up booking it, especially with the way they've been going back and forth on Twitter.

It'd be different if they were both competing in the same tournament and they were the final two guys that lasted till the end and their match in the finals was held at Wrestlemania (which obviously wouldn't happen in this case, but it's an example.) But from the sound of it, it's just the two of them wanting to "steal the show" by competing against one another, and there's only so many different ways you can book that and make it interesting.

I really don't think their twitter interactions are an indication of how the build would go. If so, sure, sounds like a lame ass build up. The match would still be the favorite for MOTN and the crowd would eat it up

So, Punk vs Cena at MITB and SummerSlam back in 2011 weren't good matches? I disagree.

Bryan vs Cena at SummerSlam 2013 was also a good face vs face match.

Face vs face 'feud' can be good, if done properly.
I agree with you....but Punk wasn't a face back then...just an FYI. He was cheered by fans and they marked for him....but he was still considered a "heel" with his character.

True, but like with anything in wrestling, if WWE invests some whole hearted time in it, it can turn out well...the issue is that I don't think they will....

Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler in a face vs. face match would be a great interpromotional match for wrestlemania. Dolph has already had 3 IC title reigns in this past year to be pushed even more.

Thinking about it, I think one of them would have to turn heel and IMO it should be Bryan because it can do Ziggler wonders.
Plus Daniel Bryan can try and do some stuff to ignore the YES! chant. Like the crowd would chant YES! to get Daniel Bryan annoyed and he can be like, "Say YES! if you sleep with your sister."

Shoutout to The Undertaker when he did it.

I like the optimism but the last time, recently, that they tried to push DB as a heel was with the wyatts. And that failed miserably. He's a face and, as of right now, arguably the biggest face in WWE. In the situation, having ziggler go heel actually makes more sense. Much like Shawn went heel when he fought hogan back at summer slam 2005. He went heel just for that match... Ziggler can do the same and say "he had to know" if he could beat db.

So, they should have one of these guys turn heel just for the sake of turning heel. Awesome.

DB vs DZ ain't happening, I think. Even though it'd be an awesome match.

Unless DB gets added to the ME, which I doubt and I'd be surprised if it happened, he'll likely face Wyatt or Sheamus... Or he may even tag with DZ to have a match against someone from The Authority. Yay!
