Was reading an article From Jr's BBQ and it made my mind think Does he deserve to be inducted?

Ross on whether Jake Roberts belongs in the WWE Hall of Fame: "He certainly does in my opinion. Great mind. Amazing psychology. Headlined some amazing events and made many less talented main eventers better because of his ability to accentuate his opponent's strengths."

See i totally agree with Ross here i think that just because Roberts has had a troubled past doesn't mean he can't be inducted, He's made some memorable moments back in the day which paved the way to what we have now

Your Thoughts?

He definitely deserves it. He needs to clean himself up though if he ever wants to get in. They aren't going to want him to show up for his induction speech tripping over his own feet and vomiting on stage.

I also think he deserves to be in. He was a good character back in the 80's and 90's and his snake gimmick attracted some good attention. I agree that he was involved in a lot of good events and he did a lot of good for the sport. If Mike Tyson can get in (albeit for other reasons) then who can't ... lol

A lot of Jake The Snake marks run around this site so I'm sure you'll get a favorable response here of all places. I am all for Roberts getting in since he was pretty awesome everywhere he went for his career that lasted a good amount of time despite his demons. Yep, he should be HOF bound... I'd like to see it happen while he is still alive rather than WWE just honoring his memory if he happens to pass away in the next few years.

Best heel of all time, greatest feud of all time with Randy Savage, put over Austin in one of the most important moments in wrestling history, etc.

Sadly it's most likely going to be a posthumous induction, can't see them doing him or Scott Hall while they are alive.

Not sure why someone should be inducted on wasted opportunities.

As a talent, he deserves it, and for the WWE HOF, absolutely. If I were running it, though, nobody would get in unless they were a world champion. It is called Hall of Fame after all, not Hall of Fail.

I would say yes. Had solid face feuds with a few guys that got him over. (Honky, Andre, DiBiase, Martel), and a GREAT heel feud with Savage. Also he did well in the comeback feud with Austin though I think the brilliance of the Savage feud was wasted a bit with no payoff.

He deserves to be in more so than Mr.Baseball or The Fridge without question. One of the top stars of the 80s.

He deserves to go in he was a great wreslter had some good matches plus he has a lot of fans. If WWE don't mind him being on their games as a legend why cant he get inducted?
