Does Anyone Like Adele?

I know as a woman I am supposed to like Adele and the girly type of music. I have to admit I really love her songs though and they seem to touch a great cord with me. Does anyone else in this forum like her or am I the only one who will admit to liking her music and wrestling at the same time?

I don't mind Adele at all. I especially like how she made it big on the back of actual talent, even though she is not "conventionally good looking". Kind of like the opposite of every other radio pop star out there - apart from GaGa, but even she has a gimmick masking her talent. Ditto Fergie, who has a decent singing voice but lets Will.I.Am rape it on a regular basis with that damn AutoTune.

Did you just put Adele and Justin Bieber in the same category? There is a huge difference of talent there. Bieber will more than likely fade out unless he can transition while Adele doesn't really need to change anything. I think she has an amazing voice but I wouldn't say I'm a fan of her. Her lyrics are a bit stalkerish but she makes decent enough songs for me. In other words I don't mind her but she's not on my iOS devices.

Huge fan here as well. Bringing back awesome soul songs with catchy, pop beats is good in my book, and yeah, the Adele/Bieber comparison is so off. Bieber is just another Backstreet Boys/N Sync' who are popular with the teenagers because of his looks and pop garbage but will eventually fall off the face of the earth because they have no real talent. Like Pete said, Adele has staying power because she's got talent- she writes her own music and has an incredible voice.

Adele is basically a newer version of Celine Dion imo, both are massively popular but no one wants to admit it.

I wouldn't say I'm a big fan or she's one of my favorites out there but yes, I like some of her songs and she is very talented. More recently her song Rumor Has It.

I can say that I don't care for her music or songs. Just not for me.

Very talented but not something I'd go out of my way to listen to. The comparison with Beiber was atrocious though and makes me think whoever said it doesn't grasp music very well.

Kind of hard not to recognize how talented she is and I haven't really heard a bad song from the woman so I'd say I like her music.
