WWE did a cross promotion Raw with ECW. Stop acting like Vince has never tried to do something with a smaller company.

I doubt this will happen simply based on WWE ignoring everything that's not a part of the Universe anymore, unless its one of Ric Flairs 16 recognized title reigns.

Yeah but when they did that ECW crossover, the battle with WCW was still very close and VInce knew that if he didn't do the partner up with Heyman, then WCW would and he woulda lost out on the bump in ratings that bringing those guys in gave him (I realize it was probably a very small bump, but a bump nonetheless). That crossover was purely a move against WCW. If ECW was the number 2 promotion at the time, there is no way Vince would've gone for it... Hell, I'd guess that if they were even a closer number 3 he wouldn't have.

WWE would have absolutely nothing to gain from a TNA crossover nor would it counter any rivals move since they have no real rivals.... The TNA/ROH makes far more sense and I'm also surprised it hasn't happened already.

I could be wrong, but I don't think it was an agreement really, More just that guys weren't tied to full time contracts and were free to work all over as long as it didn't conflict...

I was never certain of that either, but I thought there might have been some conflict since both were releasing DVDs with the same stars on them, but then again somehow ROH gets away with selling other companies DVDs on their website.

From a fans perspective it would be great to see, some of the possible matchups could be fap worthy.

It makes no sense for WWE to do this. That being said, some dream matchups right here. Original matchups too, no ROH flashbacks although Joe-Punk would be expected just for old's time sake. Here would be my card just off the top of my head and would be single matches.

Angle vs Punk (that's money right there)
Aries vs Ziggler (not picking Bryan or Punk, it's happened. This would be wild)
Roode vs Bryan (Fannnnnnntastic)
Joe vs Lesnar (Both may be past their prime, but screw it I just want to be two guys beat the hell out of each other)
Jericho vs Styles (Not a Styles fan, but he has to be respected for his work. This would be awesome)
Storm vs Del Rio (I like both guys that aren't exactly loved by many. It would be pretty fun).
Hardy vs Cesaro (Hardy is notorious for breaking his body and taking crazy bumps. What a matchup this would be)
Daniels vs Bourne (X-Division style matchup there, I've always liked Bourne. He would be a better option than a broken down Mysterio)

That is all. Sting vs Taker could be on it, but honestly Sting can't do anything anymore. I refuse to put bums on the list like Anderson and Morgan. Bully Ray isn't good enough and doesn't match well. I think that card would be awesome.

If TNA talent ever went on Raw the general concensus would be "holyshit Angle! Where you been?". Any TNA guy who wasnever underthe WWE machinewould get Charlie Haas pops. But hey, if this is how we can get Taker/Sting I'm down. Just off topic for a second, I wonder how people would act like Stings age works against him when it comes to a Mania match. Over charactersdon't have to do much to get the crowd popping. Takers mania matches are fairly simppe work, it's the crowd reaction and general loyalty to this man is why his matches look great.

Didn't ROH & TNA have an agreement in the early days? Or was it just Jarrett giving indy guys more dates to work?
Yeah they did which was that guys could work in both companies at the same time. That ended after the Rob Feinstein ordeal and guys were pretty much forced to choose.

I don't see WWE being interested in something like this. Maybe the old WWE perhaps (with a somewhat more "humble" Vince McMahon driving it and facing pressure from competition). But it doesn't fit into the interests of today's "global entertainment" WWE. They're pretty much strictly promoting themselves as "entertainment" and as such, are focused on expanding into other areas of entertainment and in associating themselves with other entertainers (think of the long drawn out celeb guest host crap, famous social ambassadors etc). They're trying to become (and have succeeded to an extent) far bigger than wrestling.

Even if TNA were "bigger" or able to be more "competition" they're not necessarily "compatible" like she seems to imply anyway given the differences between the companies. And it doesn't really benefit WWE in anyway since most people that watch TNA are all too familiar with WWE in the first place. While it'd generate some additional interest (maybe to those who have since stopped watching wrestling), it's essentially more of a fan service thing and only really serves to help TNA. WWE are more interested in mainstream exposure - this won't give them that.

That being said, she probably realizes a lot of that and it sounds to me like she's just trying to generate interest amongst the fans with the potential idea and in theory it kinda makes them look better for officially stating their willingness.

PHX, thanks for clearing that up, I wasn't exactly sure how all that worked.

There are ways WWE could market this in their favor, as Deezy said Sting/Taker would be marketable beyond all belief, and as a main event(or co-main event) could potentially bring back some Attitude Era fans for one night only. Abyss/Kane, Angle/Bryan, Joe/Swagger, an X-style 6 man ladder match, an 8-man elimination tag, and a battle between current tag team champs wouldn't be a hard card to sell. Then you always have the welcomed banter between Cole & Taz again.

Got caught being a pedophile basically trying to get sex from a minor.

And yeah for any fan who does know what TNA is the possible match ups would be great but sadly for TNA not a whole lot of people do and as said in a situation if Angle came back apart of the deal it would be a where has Angle been situation rather than them knowing what he's been doing for the last 7 years. That said I would like to see Vince's reaction from him being asked about it.

Wishful thinking from Dixie but it won't happen and it shouldn't happen. WWE are the clear market leader and so it wouldn't make sense for them to do an event with number two since it would be a step down. Plus one of the big issues with cross promotional events is who will win.

Could present some interesting match-ups if it did in fact happen but it won't.
